Both my parents know about my lifestyle. No big deal. They would not snoop. they will ask when they comes over if I have anything new to show them. I just love my parents

I realize I'm lucky in that my mom already knows everything - and has done some of these things herself, though she's not in the scene.

I kind of have that kind of relationship with my oldest son's girlfriend. At first she tried to shock me, see how far she could push and how much information she could pass before she freaked me out. Now she spends time telling me that I am giving her too much info! We shop together at the local toy store and last week I helped her pick out restraints that she had been wanting to try on my son! I wish that I had been able to have that kind of relationship with my own mother, or she with hers. My sons and daughter know as much about our situation as they can understand according to their ages, so when they see the little paddle with the heart cut-out hanging on our bed, they know something is different with mommy and daddy. They actually just shake their heads and walk away. It is nice to be able to be who and what you are without worrying about acceptance and judgment.

I'm an open person and I agree with you 100% when you said, "i would answer any question asked but be damn sure you want to actually know the answer before you ask."

My mom found my toys and books and we talked about it. We sat down and discussed all aspects of the lifestyle, or at least as much as i know. And she was ok with it.

My parents and I have a pretty open relationship.  They know Im into BDSM, but I did not go into detail. When they were coming up for my aunts wedding to TN, I simply told not to go though my stuff or they might find something they really didnt want to and if they need something come to me cause I'll know where it is.  Why not just tell your parents not to snoop or they might find things that will scar them for life. lol Joking around about it might be a good way to bring it up.

my dad would just laugh his ass off at me and tell me if that's what floats my boat as for my mom she would just give me that look and go on!

Every family is different my mom would not snoop and if she found something I had left out she wouldn't ask about it. My Dad on the other hand would want to know very little detail...he's a dirty old man and when I married my wife I warned her that I was one in training...LOL
