I am going to start an ebay business. First things I want to sell that I own, then buying lots and reselling. What i want to know is what are the type of things you think are popular to buy online or things you specifically buy. I mean other then sextoys!

I buy anything I can't find locally online.

Anything from a granola bar to furniture.

I know that probably doesn't help much.  A girl told me the other day she buys all of her purses online.  Primarily because she doesn't want to have the same purse everybody else does.

computer games , tshirts with funny sayings on (there arent enough tshirt stores with subtle  nods towards bdsm that  only another lifestyler would get the extra chuckle out of ) , movies occasionally , books too , rarely music , russian sex slaves , my grocerys when im lazy ,

furniture. i paid 500 for a queen size bed and mattress (the mattress alone was worth that) and recently a dresser for half what ikea was charging for the same thing.

i don't tend to do "real jewelry", though the "paste" type stuff is often cool.

fabric i can't find elsewhere. i've got a few thrifting links that do exactly what you're planning. if you want links, let me know - they're generally all stateside

I've bought books, shoes, music CDs, DVDs, and clothing from ebay.  I've bought all sorts of things from Amazon.   M

Books (especially rare or out of print) and music, are the main things I buy on line, unless you count main retailers such as VS, or certian kink stores, such as Huse and sons, or extreme restraints.  I do shop online for interesting tid bits, you never know what you will find........ I have in the past purchased.....a jimmy buffet tour poster, a marble oblisk, a sight for a rifle, a wooden detailed box, a car ( yes I bought a car off ebay once, but it was from someone local), boots and shoes, stockings, a giant blow up palm tree, and a antique cigar cutter.

Oh wow, I've bought all sorts of things online. I hate malls, I live in Iowa where selection is very limited, did I mention I HATE SHOPPING and malls?

Sooooo, here is a list of things I can think of.

Bedding, sheets, down comforters, blankets, duvet cover, etc.

Clothes and shoes.

Books, CDs, DVDs.

All of my photography gear.

My coffee.

Home lighting.

Art.

A kabillion dollars worth of jewelry......... I am a jewelry slut.

Loose gemstones.

Dog food. (Sojos )

Most of my skin care supplies.

Computers.

Various kitchen/cooking items.

Gardening supplies, plants, etc.

And lots more things that I am probably forgetting.

I do almost all of my gift shopping online. Especially great for hard to buy for people. You can go to the website of their favourite store (if it is a chain) and order a gift certificate. It gets mailed to either them, or me to give to them in person. So easy and always appreciated.

Jimmy Buffet is a singer/writer/beachbum/surfer, who has been around for ages, 30 or so years, who sings beach music, along with his band the coral reefers at his manicly sold out concerts..
His fans are called parrot heads, and tend to arrive at the venue very early... 11 am for a 8 pm concert, and tail gate the whole parking lot. They often have BBQ grills, tables, coconut bra's, grass skirts, lots of booze, palm tree's, conch republic flags ( key west) . I have seen dunp truck loads of sand brought in for beaches in the parking lot, and kiddie pools full of everything from jello, to naked people.

this is a VERY tough thing to do....i would seriously re think this.  especially now with the money issues that the world is currently having...ok..that usa is currently having.

i know someone who does it as a biz on the side of his sports card shop.  he has to post THOUSANDS of items and most are 1 dollar or less.  the only way to make money on ebay is to post a ton of items.  a normal household person would have trouble doing this as it takes a ton of time and labor.  especially with the packaging and going to the post office (which takes gas and car) and making sure the right person gets the correct item.

then there is the issues with exchange rate...and things like paypal.

im not saying it cant be done by one person....like yourself.  im just saying it needs to really be thought long and hard over...

now then i simply buy cd's.  this way if someone rips me off for 15 bucks..i dont care very much.  though i have mainly only bought now directly from the band thru their myspace sites...i just find ebay that people charge wayyyyyy too much for shipping costs.

   Most of the chrome and other accessories for My bike I bought on e-bay.
Typical example: Solid chrome rear disk wheel for My Harley...
$1000.00 - New from HD dealership.
$600.00 - New on e-bay.
  My little girl has found a site online where she buys her corsets. Good stuff at very good prices.
