Awesome news to everyone, especially MoGa and Stella. Mo i know how that dog will be in great hands and how much help he will be to you. Stella i think it is amazing what you are doing! Such courage to just be yourself. Doesn;t seem like it should have to be that way, but we know it is. My daughter started college this year and immediately joined BT-GLASS - Bisexual, Transgender, Gay, Lesbian and Straight Students. She and her friend were asked to be the ASS. I thought perhaps this was a "shock factor" thing, but she's been very involved. I am really proud of her. Having gay and bisexual friends has helped i am sure, but i hope that i have had some influence in teaching her to be accepting of everyone, and to stand up for those who need more friends.

October was awesome because i got to actually meet and collar my pet. It was everything i expected and more. I look forward to that continuing through November and beyond. I admit i wish the economy was a little better (ok a lot better), but i am thankful for what i do have.  The last 2 months i have gotten to visit my sister and meet a whole lot more of my partners family, which was pretty cool. I love Thanksgiving and i can say the diet will definately be on hold for that day. On that note i am back down to the jeans size i haven't been able to get into for 2 years, so that makes me quite happy. I'll never be skinny, but the healthier eating has given me more energy and is more satisfying in the long run.

I hope everyone else has a great month!!!

ssdd here, still healing up after the surgery, took a turn for the worse as far as healing goes with the wrong medication, but hopefully i'll be back on track.  still busting ass to try to get a decent grade in all my classes, seems like this year is harder to get motivated.  maybe it's just brain fatigue, been thru so much over the past 16 months it's not funny.  i have the house to myself at the moment, it's quiet!  kids won't be back til sometime tomorrow evening, ahhhhh!!

MoGa i am thrilled to hear about the dog!  sounds like everyone is starting to make holiday plans and looking forward to next year.  i can't believe it's november already!  everyone hang tight and make the best of it, only a few more days until the election, lol!  you all take care of yourselves and have a great month!!  i'm back to art history, oh joy.
PM

<Hugs to PM> I am so sorry to hear about your problems with the wrong medication. Sheesh, makes you wonder who on earth to trust anymore regarding your health.
I am stunned that it is November already as well. The months are flying by!  Next month is Christmas! It doesn't seem possible, yet here we are <s>

Enjoy art history! It sounds interesting :)

MsS, I feel your pain over working today.  I brought Myself home after a very long Saturday, looking like a bottom who had participated in a resistance play scene.  I can only say that I am very grateful that the clocks go back tonight.  I can certainly use that extra hour of sleep.

I did make it to Dom Con last month.  I have to admit, I had a great time there.  I got to reconnect with so many people in the Atlanta area.  It was wonderful to have clip at My feet again.  After more than three months since I'd seen him, it was a great 10 days!  The bad part was taking him and returning from the airport.  Miserable story there, so I'll quit while I'm ahead.

The distressing thing that I have to report is that I was the victim of identity theft over the last month.  I'm still trying to sort that mess out.  Every time I think the business is finished, something new comes up.  The worst part about it is that I know who's done this, and I am ever so disappointed.

November I expect to be rather quiet with neither husband or sub at home.

Ladypact <hugs>
I totally understand about the identity theft. I went through this about 5 years ago and it was a nightmare. My bank and the police were well aware of it, but my credit still sucks from it. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I hope that things get better for you, it's all so stressful.

It's my debut here...

This month starts out with a couple of anniversaries. Three years ago on November 8 I came out publicly to the media in Poland as Stella and transgendered to the media in Poland and announced that I would be attending the Warsaw Equality Parade explaining that I made that decision in support of equal rights for Polish gays, lesbians and transfolk. November 11 I was removed from my position as artistic director of the theatre I formed in Zywiec Poland and the November 18 opening of my play 'Death' was cancelled. My downfall was spectacular.

This month, today it seems that it's all come good and I am preparing for my first season in London fringe theatre. Today I spent a couple of hours casting and starting a new production of my play 'Death'. For much of this year I have been working on my play with a BDSM theme known as 'Switch' and this is scheduled to open November 18 here in London with tentative plans to premiere the play at LAM (London Alternative Market).

Yesterday I was informed that the three partners - a homeless charity, the NHS and Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea are pleased with the development of my SLGBT support group in West London and have decided to expand the project and allocate more funds for events. This month I plan a buffet lunch for service users, we will also be having a meeting with Labour MP Peter Tatchell and hope to be visiting the London Fetish Fair. I also have to give a couple of talks in the borough about the importance of wider society becoming more accepting of the LGBT community as a realistic path towards diversity and an end to oppression and hostility towards each other in the community and in the workplace.

More charity projects are being developed working with the homeless and towards racial integration on the notorious Broadwater Farm estate in North London and later this month the theory behind my charity will be presented at a personal audience with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown who is meeting with Broadwater Farm community leaders.

I am joined by my partner in the theatre Mandy, who will be the head of our small production team and in charge of fundraising and administration. This is after a year's break and this is not just a partnership in theatre but also in the charity work and ... in a relationship.

All in all it's looking like a good month and stella is a happy bunny.

Hi Happy Bunny!
You amaze me. Here's to continued success <Hugs>

hereyesuponyou,
Thank you for the nice words. I have always owned dogs, but they have been pretty small ones. Well, I had a great Dane once, but it was years ago. I am nervous about having a big one, with the big poop lol I am afraid I won't know where to use the pooper scooper! But from what I have been told, the school will teach me how to know for certain where he goes. Not a real good topic, but it goes to show how the little (or big) things are on my mind.
Congratulations on your new pet! How exciting for the both of you! And the weight loss is awesome as well! Both KoKo and I have lost weight this past couple of months, so I know the thrill of going down in jean sizes :)

Here's wishing you the best of all Novembers!

WELL!!  Those of you who have left me voice mail the past few days, I have not been ignoring you, I have been at a WEDDING over in Ontario, and roaming is hellishly expensive. :)  Oh, the wedding was of Lumus and Lady Rainfire, who met at this fine establishment.  Rain actually moved to Canadia and is adapting to her new home brilliantly.  Her new husband is a hottie!  I got to meet Soul2Share and Beargonewild, who are as great in person as they are on email and phone.  (Hm, that sounds a little wrong, but you know what I mean. )

On other fronts, I got nothing.  I am knitting the sweater from hell---there is this knitters superstition about knitting for men you are not married to, and I know why!   And it's just a plain design!  I will be deeply happy to be working on the black lace fingerless gloves for myself, that I expect to be trouble free.

Tax season is a few months away, and I am not looking forward to it----but I WILL be happy because MoGa will be in my very town meeting her new dog!  So, thishereboi, you KNOW we will be doing some things!   I am not looking ahead to the season because there are massive changes coming through my company, and I really will be leaving after this season, to do what, I am not sure.  I do live in Michigan after all...    I have even thought about relocating temporarily, if it will get me some money.  My healthcare costs have taken everything I have, and it's not possible to get ahead anymore.  How is it in your various necks of the woods?

I got Lynda Barry's newest book, What It Is, and y'all can read my journal entry for the blurb about that.  The short story is, I miss having minions, so I am getting me some.   I have some potentials lined up that I think will work out well.

We are KC, Mo. bound... as soon as I handle a bit of business tomorrow and then hopefully by Tuesday we will be headed out of this place!  We bought a very nice mobile home, real tile, real wood, real dry wall... lol... because I just couldn't trust a real home to be anything but a money pit with the money we had to work with and I have spent hours and hours shopping online so that we have furniture and such when we get there.  By the end of the week, I will be holding grand um's and having fun decorating.  Or laying in a bed dying from it all! lol

Son is really excited and has held a teddy bear day and night, of my grand um's recorded saying 'happy mommie's day' and a picture of them on it and he can't wait to get to his partner in crime, the three year old.  He keeps going to the door and opening it and nodding for me to come on, it's time to go.  He gets all happy that I told him I bought him a home and we never have to move again! He smacks the back of his neck... the I love you sign and laughs.  He has even decided he wants his bedroom to be blue... ukkkkk I hope he forgets that one!

This is the move we have been waiting for, for soooo very long and I will finally have help with my son and when I am having health problems.  We are ready to socialize my son more and try to break the dependency he has on me alone because I am not always going to be here and someone else will be taking over and everyone must be okay with it.  So major changes and a new beginning to get into.  I will even get time off now and can have a life!  Two years of this has been enough!  I am ready to hit town and get settled and then get myself out there for some ol lady fun!

Ms Lockit i am so glad to hear everything is finally working out for You and You will finally be able to take a much needed "time out" for Yourself.

If i've learned nothing else from the 6 years with Mistress, it's been that caregivers really need to take time for themselves and having the support of friends/family is key to retaining sanity.

Congrats Ma'am, You did it :)

Thank you so much softpj!  I did make it... but darn if it wasn't a close call there!  Just in the nick of time! lol  I do think I lost a few brain cells along the way... but oh well, at my age I can work that age thing! hehe

I hope all is well with you and OS!

october certainly didn't feel like it flew by, it feels like it's been 2 months since last roll call, yet i was still surprised how fast halloween seemed to come despite the month seeming long, which i didn't get to enjoy much but i rarely do.

october consisted of getting an uncommon amount of correspondence on here, medical/family drama, lots of busy schedules, changing my main source of workflow to a different contractor, and singing as loud and as long as my voice would allow.

Hi everyone. This is my first roll call,so a little introduction is in order. I am an artist (painter, photographer) living in upstate New York.
I have 2 sons and 1 daughter and 4 grandchildren. We had "my" holiday ,Halloween, party this weekend. It was fun and so great to
hang out with my bunch plus additional friends. I made pulled pork sandwiches and fresh homemade french fries plus all the other
munchies and sweets. The fresh french fries were a big hit.

I am a late starter in this lifestyle ...after retirement and divorce/widowhood, I have followed a path of "dating" and learning that
has led me to being in the process of having, after zillions of hours of talking and dating "not the ones", met an experienced
attractive playmate/slave. I'm sure that I am not the first novice Mistress with an experienced slave. So far so good.
He has been in my home and I found his presence  a good fit. He has a desire to give me the power and I what I have experienced
has been ...dare I say... intoxicating.

Does it make sense to say that after so much independence that I have spent much time thinking how to use this slave. I usually do for myself?
I also found a group locally that we are visiting this month.  I have sooooo much to learn.
And although I respect the history and protocol and traditions and amazing varieties of people and interests, I shall take my seat on my throne and put my hand on the leash and open my mind and heart to this rush of the power exchange that, even at this
beginning experience, seems so right for me.

This is going to be fun :).

Today finds Me sitting with snobbish gourmet coffee and breathing---doesnt sound like much, but the breathing part is---knowing I can soon send My daughter's boyfriend back home--quickly--having arrived a week ago, bieng nothing that was represented, living a week of whispers, tension, betrayal and disruption. I really wish the coffee was a freakin bloody mary but its too early and well--what would people think-I don't even have any eggs benedict to accompany it. <sigh> and yet I am feeling lighter that My holidays with her will not be spoiled and she is even more maniacally focused on college and her dreams.  Counting the days until the happy happy train takes his happy happy butt back to NYC.

and I and she can get on with getting on.

oh and maybe the potential of starting with a new submissive---just maybe things are looking up.
