Lockit - so glad to hear all the good news! Very happy to hear you will have stability and more support in your new location. Those things make everything else much easier!

Ms.Robin Sanders - Welcome! Everyone was new sometime and there are some great resources out there and especially here. I swear I learn something new every day. The best part is the learning about yourself. I look forward to hearing more about your journey!

Lady H - you make me almost want to leave the coast, almost! It sounds like you have a great group out there.

Cat - nice job on holding your tongue and letting your daughter learn for herself. I know how hard that can be. Best of luck on the new subbie too!

Chezzy - sorry you're not finding what you want...hugs

Robin... welcome! You are in for the time of your life.  It does my heart well to hear of someone finding a "newness" and excitment in life at any age.

November for me will be rather quiet until Thanksgiving week.  That's when I am with my daughter and her children as we celebrate Thanksgiving.  My daughter's and I, for the past few years have joined the "Day After Thanksgiving" shopping frenzy.  This time I can get the goodies I see and wish I had the money for.

The job has been a dream the past couple of months.  I haven't had to travel as much as I was because of the gas prices and the state cutting travel.  It will remain so through the rest of the year.

I'm continue to be estatically happy with my two guys!

Congrats and well wishes to all!  Head up and good luck to all those that are going through something.

Ms.  Faye

MoGA!  So glad to hear that you will be getting the dog.  And welcome to all the new roll callers!

Haven't been around for a while.  Busy, busy, busy for the last few months!  I got moved and now all I have to do is walk next door to go to work.  Can't beat that.  I love My new house too, although I am still trying to get settled.  But superficially everything looks to be in order.  I am the one who needs to get to the filing cabinet and the last few boxes of "crap".  So it's My own damn fault if I fret on occasion that all is not completely peachy keen.
I am weary of all the campaigning and can't wait to vote tomorrow for no one who will win and have this over and done with.  We shall see what the next four years will bring.  What will be will be!
I am to be a grandma again about mid-December, so I may wait on the roll call next month to share that news.  For now, eric is cooking Me dinner (he is grilling on the patio in Arizona tonight), the weather is lovely, and I don't have to be at the theater for two whole days.
Life is good.

GoddessDustyGold!
I am so happy to see you posting! Great news on becoming a grandma again, how exciting! I am so sorry that I didn't get to meet you when I was there. It was a mix up in communication, although I prolly would not have wanted you to meet me in a hospital room <s>
I hear the weather is wonderful, in the 80's I am told. Nice! My sister heated her pool and is busy entertaining a house full of people.

I am also looking forward to the election tomorrow. I won't be able to sleep tonight I am so excited!

Hugs to you dear Lady, good to see you!

I was ready to come to the hospital, but I couldn't get any info as to where you were!
Oh, it is incredibly lovely here right now.  This is the first time in a few years when we are really  having the lovely "in between" time.  Yes, 80's during the days, and down to the 50's at night.  Right now the air is crisp and cool, all the windows are open, and the fresh desert air is wonderful.  I have not had to run heat or A/C for a few weeks, and I hope it lasts for a few more!  By Thanksgiving, I am looking forward to having a fire in My chimnea on the patio.
Thank you for the well wishes, (Mine always to you, of course!) and please do stay in touch!

I am glad you are getting your dog and that things are improving for you. I am glad to hear that GDG is doing well. I found my way back to APEX and have went to Fetish Alive a few times and added a few things to my toy bag. Still hunting for a violet wand perhaps one day I will find the one I want. My lil one's MRI and Ultrasound were normal and we are waiting on the results of her Non- stress stress test.  Hopefully he will take her off some of the medication she is on now. Then maybe she will start feeling better. I hope everyone is doing well.

I'm glad to here that everyone seems to be doing better.

I've been crazy busy at work, and it's not like I even have a stressful job. But the market has made everything very icky and way too many people freaking out. I'm also thinking that I'll need to go back to school soon to get another job to help me get a bit ahead.

Besides work I've been having fun trying to fit in a social life when I work my hours. I'm also happy that Pet and I finally have one goal down and are working at adding to our relationship. I've also met some other people to so I'm seeing where that all well go.

october was equal parts amazing and crap.  i had my birthday at the beginning of the month, complete with fancy dinner, which was really fun.  but to lack of social interaction is driving me batshit.  we didn't do anything for all hallows, which is sad making for me.  this month i'm hosting thanksgiving for the first time ever, and i'm SO excited about it.  my family had all moved from cali to poartlans, so they're much closer to me here in seattle.  but far enough away they can't just pop by.  which is how i like it.  the boy continues to be amazing in so many ways.  i've gotten into an online degree program which will let me finish up my BA while i'm working, so i'm moving on with my desire for a doctorat and a museum spot.  he's back to school next fall.  and overall i keep meeting each day with a feeling of hope and bounce.  so it's good.  now, i just need ot get my happy ass out of the house more often and meet some people.

to all with family additions, of the two and four legged kind, congratz!  and best wished to everyone who's health is not what they wish it was.

I have 6 of my 15 stories finished now for my next book and the job market has slowed down so I'm stuck at 5 applications thus far.

The flood of ancient history, ancient studies, classics and archaeology lectures and panels of October has slowed down.

I made contact with a scholarly publisher and now need to work on a book proposal to send his way this month.

Plus we all three got up at 5:30am and were at our polling place by 5:50am this morning (Nov 4) and even though things opened on time and ran smoothly didn't get to the voting booths until 6:37am. I am hopeful that this election will work out well and that it inspires more citizens to do their democratic duty otherwise democracies die as Polybius wisely pointed out.

Wow, good job at the early rising, Tammyjo!  Dad and I have the faux-grandson this afternoon, and mom is doing a doctor run for a cousin, so we will be in the LATE line...

I'm going to go vote for the first time!

...

Which means, I have to make an epic trip to classes in one city far away from where I live with my Owner.  Then I have to go back to my hometown, about two hours in the other direction.  Woo-hoo!

Finally starting to feel a little less overwhelmed and swamped after a very difficult 2 1/2 months.  There is now a slim possibility that I may survive my current workload and actually come out on top of everything this quarter.  And if I do, I intend to reward myself by doing something fun--Aidan and I will probably create some erotic photos this December to enter into this year's Seattle Erotic Art Festival.

w00t! We're gonna make sexy, sexy art! ^__^

I'm looking forward to getting my first paychecks from my new job at the University of Tennessee and getting registered for classes in January. And first Thanksgiving with Mistress!
