Do you guys have mobile mammography units around there? A lot of times those guys can take walk-in visits.

Greedy and all others who are struggling in this day and age. Go to your Local Public Health. In your case Greedy their web site is http://www.hillsboroughcounty.org/hss/hhcprogram/whatisit.cfm and they are there to help those who are ineligible for Medicaid and Medicare but don't qualify for or can't afford other coverage. Many even do dental. You may still earn too much (it varies by county to county and state to state), but it pays to check. Urgent Care centers are also relatively inexpensive compared to regular Doctor visits and pretty comprehensive in what they can do..average for a visit is around $45 if you are uninsured. poenkitten

I'm going in tomorrow for a GYN exam, I'll check into the mammo then (I keep forgetting to call, and the one time I did call I got the answering service)

Count me in as a member of the smashed breast group. I am prone to fiberedemas, just like my mother, but it took a few days and a biopsy to ensure that it was a cyst that I was feeling and not a tumor. Theresa the Domme, realizing she is now over 40 and needs to get one soon. Let the sqeezing begin!

Ok, the gyn exam results are a 'no news is good news' thing.. so here's hoping I don't hear from then on that. As far as the mammo goes, turns out the girl that did those arrangements left for another job.. so the N.A. will be working on it today for me. I was told not to expect a call until next week (it being a holiday). The Dr said she'd call me after the mamo, either way (although normally it's a no news/good news thing) because if the mammo is clear then she'll refer me to someone for a more in depth check (since the nipple is still sore).
