A random question came into my head after reading the Clarity thread.

One theme that was discussed in the thread, is how BDSM is personally defined by each individual who participate in the lifestyle.

I was interested in doing a word association type of post, to find out what comes to your mind when certain words are thrown out. I don't know if someone has done this before here, if so I apologize in advance.

So here goes, I will post 20 random words that come to my mind and I'm interested in knowing what immediately comes to your mind when you see the word. I'm very much interested in your initial thoughts. They can be one word responses to each word, a sentence or a long ramble.

Edit: So as to not confuse, I answered in a post below why I originally posted the title as Rorschach and BDSM, although we are indeed technically doing word association. Both are pretty much the same and meant to produce the same outcome, just by different methods.

(my answer - content with circumstances, evironment and being)

(my answer - enough admiration to listen, acknowledge, agree with and maybe emulate.)

(my answer - a thirst to know more than what we do)

(my answer - to be kept)

17. Intelligence
(my answer - having a curiosity for and ability to relay, knowledge)

(my answer - the general bubble we live in)

(my answer - on the edges of societal norms)

(my answer - what is generally considered acceptable)

Um, Rorschach is actually an inkblot test, but I love the idea of word association, so here goes.

1. Bondage = hogtied
2. What happened to number two?
3. Slave = Charleton Heston (sorry, Planet of the Apes fetish)
4. Flog = please
5. Dominant = nope (only in the real world, never at home)
6. Knees = sore
7. Limits = Sammy Hagar (can't drive 55)
8. Security = handcuffs
9. Trust = love
10. Confidence = power
11. Submission = freedom
12. Satisfaction = floating
13. Fulfillment = happiness
14. Respect = honor
15. Curiosity = kittycat

There, honestly...

Thank you for responding I know it's an ink blot test but it and word association sort of goes hand in hand. If you look at an ink blot, you are asked to relay to the examiner what you see. If you are given a word in word association, the same applies ... what do you see, when you read or hear that word.

So maybe I didn't have a inkblot up but it basically it's the same thing only delivered in different methods. However as not to confuse, or people think I am daft, I'll just edit the title and main post.
