It seems that more females are bisexual them males...or am I wrong?

(just thinking uploud)

Perhaps but bi men excite me, especially when its a man on man power exchange [:)]

Next you are going to tell us that you like watching man on man porn.  [;)] I have a Female D friend who gets all glassy eyed and starts twitching when she talks about watching gay male porn. I even think I saw her nipples get hard once when she was describing a certain scene in a movie. LOL. [:D]

If I see it happening within a BDSM club then I am pushing through the crowds to watch it! I like live rather than something premeditated for a captive audience.
Men are very raw when they play. Its a no holes barred (excuse the pun!) and its very dirty!

I think it's a hard number to quantify as far as men, mainly because men will be a lot more reluctant to admit having any sort of homosexual related fantasy, desire, or experience, particularly when it comes to male dominants.

Female bisexuality is not socialized as a direct insult to a women's femininity as opposed to men where the suggestion of being homosexual or bisexual is a common insult to one's level of masculinity. This can be found in the vanilla world as well as the male/female D/S world where displays of strong masculinity are rewarded. Heterosexual men constantly reinforce the idea that to be gay is to be less of a man.

As someone who has primarily worked blue collar job's most of his life, I can assure you that 6 hours of every 8 hour work day is usually spent trying to insinuate and suggest that the other guys in the room are somehow "faggots". A game I am more than guilty of participating in since my steady flow of income is linked to my ability to get along and co-exist with my co-workers. When in Rome, do as the Romans.

The other reason I find that we see more open admittance to bisexuality among women is because modern culture is constantly adopting women-on-women interaction as an aesthetically pleasing value. As opposed to male-on-male interaction which I find to generally be perceived as being disgusting by both genders.

Now as far as me, I consider myself to be straight, but not 100%. I've attempted to have one-on-one interaction with a man before, but it quickly came to an end, because there was no internal response on my part. However, I have watched pornography involving bisexual women and men where both genders were having sex with members of the same and opposite gender and surprisingly found out that it was incredibly hot to me.

The fact that there has to be a woman involved for male homosexual acts to sexually stimulate me leads me to my conclusion that I am straight and not bisexual.

But my own personal introspection tends to lead me to conclude that human sexual orientation is rarely ever as simple as Kinseys 1s and 0s.

I am 100% hetero. I have gay and bisexual male friends. Don't see them different or so..as they are not.
I did notice a little while ago..that saying you were hetero..and din't like to see 2 males together...almost gave you the lable of homofoob.
That pissed me off.
I really think people should enjoy life..as they want.

I wonder if it is just that women feel awkward letting the men that they associate with know that they -like- seeing male-on-male. I have to be honest, I tend to be somewhat neuter -- way too many years of monastic life, I guess -- and I'm easily bored, so I don't really get much of a kick from porn, but when our darling men would be sharing affection... I'm sorry, but that was still -hot- to me... probably because you just don't see a lot of it in public yet, so it's still sort of exciting (haven't reached the 'boredom factor' yet).

I love seeing people love one another, male or female, but there is something fascinating about watching men share affection. Maybe it's just the crowd I hang around with, but many of the women I know like the same thing (whether they identify as straight, les, or bi... yup, even a lot of my les friends like seeing guy-on-guy... not in the least because it keeps the guys off -them-! *LOL*).

And maybe if you climb down off your politically correct horse, you would realize that it's simply a statement of personal preference.

It's called "tolerance". Not "acceptance". Are we so consumed by liberal thought policing that we want everyone to like the same things now?

I don't like seeing solely two men together. It's sexually unappealing to me unless there is a women involved.

I also don't like to watch people shitting on each other. I find it to be disqusting.

Same thing with the View. I don't like watching that. Those women annoy the hell out of me.

Mushrooms and raw tomatos make my stomach crawl.

And Gilbert Godfrey and that God-awful voice of his that makes my hair stand on edge.

Just because people don't like things does not mean they are on a personal crusade to stop everyone from being able to do it.

Every time I see The View, I want to gag and beat those bitches.

How we are going to live with ourselves knowing we are "Viewfoobs"?

CallaFirestormBW -> RE: Being Bi within this lifestyle (11/6/2008 12:24:14 PM)

I don't know... I still kinda like Whoopie Goldberg, even on The View (not that I get to see it that often)

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Being Bi within this lifestyle (11/6/2008 12:31:17 PM)

I like Whoopie Goldberg on anything BUT The View.  Next time I Top, I'm putting on that show.  It really brings out the bitch in me.  I'll just make his safe word, the off button on the TV [:D]

Okay...taking a minute and realizing that you made an ambigous and poorly articulated post...

Did you mean to say that you were pissed at the idea of someone saying they didn't like watching guys together or pissed at the idea of someone being labled a homophobe for saying they didn't like watching guys?

I took it as the first. If you meant the second, then I apologize for ranting and raving.

JustDarkness -> RE: Being Bi within this lifestyle (11/6/2008 12:38:28 PM)

I said  I dislike looking at 2 gay males having sex...and they called me homofoob. While I don't have anything against homosexuals....as I have friends beeing it. But that pissed me off.
Not forbidden to dislike the look of it.

I think more women admit to being bisexual than men because its more socially acceptable, it interests me that feminism has changed our ideas of what women can do, the ideas of femininity have become more fluid, but for men there has been no change, we have a very strict idea of what it means to be a man. It is an age old fantasy of men to be with two women, far rarer to find women who have the same fantasy with two men.

I also think that women are more touchy feely generally, friendships and stuff tend to be huggy and they are far more likely to 'experiment' but that again goes hand in hand with the idea that its ok for women but not for men.

I also think it will be common to find more bisexulity claimed on BDSM sites because one people tend to be more sexually open, and two because its something that people desire. A submissive may feel the need to claim bisexuality to appeal to more Dominants.

I was about to say the same thing.

Being openly bisexual I know there are a lot of men who are bi, or at very least bi-curious, that will never admit it if asked.  I get propsitioned all the time by guys who want it but want to be sure no one ever knows about it.  There have also been guys I got together regularly with for years that would keep arguing they weren't bi no matter how many times they had sex with another man.

Kinsey was a pioneer and did good work for having no platform to start from.  For a little more depth you should try the Klein Grid.  You rate your preferences on a scale of 1-7 in seven different areas of sexuality.  It also looks at your preferences and behaviors as past, present, and future, recognizing that sexual preferences can change over time.  Here's a site with a full explanation and the grid - http://www.bisexual.org/kleingrid.html
