Yes, of course my Master has his silly moments =D Although I'm more the joker of the two (I like playing pranks on him at times :p ) He's a very fun, laid-back guy :) I would be the most saddest slave if we never had those funny moments.

Aaaw... I just told him I was gonna post about him being silly and now he's threatening me with a possible "funishment" =O

while i am a dom i tend to be on the silly side. drving in the car, out at dinner, just relaxing, i am usually the first to make a joke (or even worse, a pun.)  the truth is i just like have fun and enjoy my self, i love funny and love sharing that with the person i'm with.

Here's a question for you, can a Sir/Master/Owner be too silly?
Does "serious" command more respect?

And if you do have a silly owner, by all means share a little bit of his/her silly side with the rest of us.

I suppose there can always be too much of a good thing. One thing that I used to feel sad about with my former owner is he was rarely silly, and therefore never really got to see much of my own silly side. There were moments, but they didn't come often.

There's a man I'm seeing now...a short while back I couldn't sleep, and I jokingly asked him to sing me a lullaby. He launched right in - "If you'll just hold the ladder, baby, I'll climb to the top..." (Robert Duvall in Tender Mercies). OK so he thinks country western songs from 1970s movies are lullabies. Ha. In any case, I fell asleep grinning.

I'm happily expressing my silliness these days, and my dorkiness as long as I'm at it...

As I wish D/s dynamics as a part of a relationship, a good sense of humor is important.  Now, the person being able to act like a grown-up when appropriate is important too.  The two are not mutually exclusive inherently.  Balance.

Coolio! Here, I thought I was the only one out there too silly to be very dom...ish. With all the absurdities in the world, just how am I supposed to keep a straight face? Just look at the platypus; God's cruelest joke!

Aynne88 -> RE: A Silly Sir (11/7/2008 6:32:39 AM)

I don't know, moments of silliness are good, but sometimes too much of a goofball is a turnoff, I never was one to fall for the class clown. I love that He is the calmer, saner, quieter and definitely the more serious of the two.  I don't particularly enjoy a silly man. Having a good sense of humor, yes, but silly doesn't really appeal to me. Just my opinion, I am sure for some it works great.

Well my masters totally nuts and I love him all the more for it.

oh for goodness sake - surely we all have to laugh at and with each other?

Last Master used to quote Monty Python at bizarre times - had me in stitches!

Funishment... I get that one too. My Master can be dead serious and very cruel at times, and generally when we are together we are rarely silly. On the other hand He has an absoluetly childish and silly and hyperactive side that wants to jump into fountains and steal beer, which I find adorable but also makes me cringe. So sometimes He very purposefully becomes as silly as possible, just because He knows how much it makes me cringe. Cruel, cruel man. <3

T1981 -> RE: A Silly Sir (12/26/2008 11:45:00 AM)

Silly is a wonderful thing! A couple of weeks ago my husband decided he'd like some light sensation play - and when I decided to get a little frisky by whacking his ass, we both busted out laughing at the hilairity of ME (his sub) trying to spank HIM. It was very funny and we laughed long and hard about it. It made for a very wonderful evening!

VampiresLair -> RE: A Silly Sir (12/26/2008 11:51:55 AM)

Silly is fun. When intense scenes are ruined by a joke, yeah it can be a downer. However, when we are playing and having fun and one of us quotes something that starts the other laughing too hard to continue on... its great.
Anyone who knows me on here a long time has heard my story about the amorous neighbors (Who wants the cock!) and we have been known to change that phrase to fit the situation. Like "Who wants the popcorn? Tell me you want the popcorn!" Or of course, using LOLspeak (from lolcats) to ask permission for things instead of asking properly. "I can has tea?"

quicksilverdream -> RE: A Silly Sir (12/26/2008 1:25:41 PM)

If you've ever had a night where nothing seems to go right...no matter what you do....bedpost breaks....the cats decide that's the night to chase the rope....whipped cream can is empty...you blow fuses with the electrics....and you forget and wear satin clothes on satin sheets and slide your ass all over the place trying to even stay still....a dom with a sense of silly really helps.  Rather than be too serious when life's mishaps happen....sometimes it's nice to just be able to laugh together at the absurdity of it all.

But  we're silly together everywhere....at least until it's time for more serious discussions....

eponastar -> RE: A Silly Sir (12/27/2008 11:26:47 AM)

As a Mistress I have a rather unusual sense of humor. I work in the medical field and so does my boy. We have a very 'morbid' sense of humor, in addition I have a silly silly personality. My roommate and I act like complete retards at times and while the first time my boy was introduced to that side of me, he was surprised, he now finds it quite hilarious and has begun to participate in the sillyness. I find it quite entertaining to see him bop around making funny noises. I usually end up laughing so hard I cry when we act like this.

Silly is good.

MastersPanda -> RE: A Silly Sir (12/27/2008 7:45:23 PM)

Master is quite the goober most of the time. He is the proud inventor of care bear jitsu and has a tendency to break out in song and dance in public. one of the first things that attracted me to Him was his sense of humor and way of making everyone around Him smile and laugh. and i can't imagine Him any other way.
