ORIGINAL: ArizonaSunSwitch McCain lost the election because of his choice of "staffers", so, who gives a crap about what they think. It's sour grapes because they lost the election and McCain chose an actual conservative as VP instead of some knucklehead *moderate* like themselves. Most of these staffers will never serve on a presidential campaign again. Without a Bush or McCain moderate in the white house and leading the party there's a good chance the party will realize that offering "socialism-light" is not a winning campaign message when running against actual committed socialists. I have no clue what you mean. The bailout is the biggest form of socialism ever seen in this country, and was fully endorsed by Bush. Your premise seems to be that redistributing wealth by tax curs and adding to the deficit is fine, and doing it by paying for it right away is socialism. BTW, socialism is when the state owns the means to produce wealth. quote:
Palin was cleared on election day on the trooper issue. And, btw, when you suggest she was wrong about firing that officer you are implying that using a taser on a child is an acceptable form of parental discipline. The election day report is nothing. The original findings were that she had broken the law by interfering with police business to try to get Wooten fired, but that she was within her rights to fire Monegan. Guilty on one count, innocent on another. The election day report simply mentioned the SECOND charge only and acquitted her of it. It did not address the one she had been convicted of. Wooten did not use a taser for discipline. He was fooling around with it and used it on the kid for fun. Not an explanation, but a clarification. And your point that agreeing with the report implies agreement with the tasering is wrong - the report never addressed whether the tasering was right (obviously it isn't) - it addressed whether Palin and her husband had the authority to reopen a closed disciplinary case. quote:
Palin was the only person in this race with any executive branch experience. Suggesting she was not experienced enough for the job is laughable considering we just elected a "community organizer". A community organizer who mainly worked for Acorn who's primary (if not only) product is fraudulent voter registrations. You'd think that alone would be disqualifying in a democratically elected republic in a perfect world. She does indeed have executive experience, but not anything to be proud of. She's been convicted in Troopergate, and turned a budget surplus into a deficit. Bush lite. I was not aware that Obama's main work experience was for ACORN. They did in fact produce a few fraudulent registrations. That's inevitable when registering new people, and was made an issue because the GOP was desperate. BTW, if you look at the incredible organization that Omaba put together to elect him - THAT'S what communty organizers do. You Republicans can stop laughing now. quote:
Palin was the only person in this race that *bought* her clothing. Everyone else received it for free. Hmmm...i wonder if that even shows up on the 3 other dork's campaign contribution documentation. Huh? Palin did NOT buy her clothing. The RNC bought it for her - that's the entire point. She has claimed that it will be donated after the election's over. She did not buy it at Wal-Mart but at tony places. That both belies her "Jane Six-Pack" image, and will qualify as a gift if she does not donate it.
