Additionally, Obama and his family were put under Secret Service protection early in the campaign, almost two years ago.

Actually, .dark....yes, that is exactly the kind of thinking that i run into all the time. "We cant have a panel come and speak about gblt issues...it might make that kid in the 3rd row, listening, turn out gay..." and of course, "We cant have you handing out condoms willynilly to just any kid out there...*gasp* they might use them....then what would you have been responsible for???"....(people having safer sex, i would assume)

I don’t believe Obama is any more at risk for being black BUT… It is only a matter of time before, we in America, are watching a rally like in Chicago real time…and a suicide bomber strikes. Or a public address real time…where a bullet strikes.

He won by quite a bit. I may not like the man, but I wish him no ill will. He's got alot to think about and the safety of his family is being handled by the best. Good luck Mr. President. Let them do the worrying. And get the kids 2 puppies. Like Newfoundlands, they are cuddly.

There's been the fear of assasination since he announced that he announced he was running. While race relations in the US are continuosly improving, you're living in a fantasy world if you think the target on his back isn't bigger because he's black.

3 people were arrested for asassination plots BEFORE he won. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I wasn't able to find any incidents where people were arrested for threatening some one still running for president. And both plots were from white supremist.
