Ok I really don't get this "What is it with Women?" thread...

I have never received strange emails or responses to my emails from women. Actually I have had alot of great interactions and some friendships develop because of the email exchange. I don't look for a deep meaningful relationship right off the hop... in fact I am not even looking for that now and never will... I have what I want and my energy is directed to enhancing its growth. But, I do enjoy the friendships with women and yes a few good men... believe it or not there are some good ones out there contrary to what the junk mail would seem to indicate.

So What is it with Women??? mmmmmmmm maybe the proper quesiton is "What is it with the women that you choose to approach?" mmmmmmmmmm your approach maybe? your judgement?

I agree. This sounds like looking for a solution in search of a problem. The web inherently has all kinds and one's perpetual job is to find the nuggets worth cherishing. Just the way it is.

Foxer, contradictory to what your initial post says, your profile does sound a bit demanding to me. At least that was the impression I got. And you know what? Theres nothing wrong with that. But you cant say that she must be this, this, and this and then get mad when a woman replies with the same. Theres nothing wrong with standards... if its not working out for her, she will eventually change them. If I were you I would not be so direct. A lot of girls here get burnt out with the endless persuit of insta-doms(not saying you are one, just saying theyre out there). Just take it down a notch, get to know some people, you might find what your looking for and you might not, but youll probably meet some great people along the way.

Totally agree with foxglove in this aspect. I know this is going back a bit but I am just catching up with the posts that I haven't read so may see another few in this thread shortly!![&:]

11 pages later.... all i have to ask is this.... has your question been answered yet? Or are we women still that confusing to you?

Lost me after page 3. I honestly think foxer has his head up near Uranus for the way he has critisized (spell check pls) people for giving advice and/or their view on the way women are. Take the time to listen to them, acknowledge their wants and needs and maybe, just maybe, you may find someone that will find you interesting. 'Cuse me now, I am going to get off the soapbox and go rest my eyes from all the reading I've done!![;)]

Petruchio -> RE: What Is It With Women...? (1/5/2006 5:10:26 PM)

I supppose I'm philosophical. I understand your frustration, but women aren't like buying a Craftsman wrench in Sears. Yes, you form a bond with the wrench, you won't let any other guy (mis)use it, and you'll be together a lifetime.

But it's only a WRENCH.

Real women can be fussy and frustrating and ditzy and dopey and… (I sound like I'm naming dwarves here)… exactly mirror images of us guys: guys being neurotic, insecure, strutting, incommunicative, and sometimes bordering on brain damaged.

I've often wanted to learn to surf, but I expect that if I ever try, I'll fall off the board a LOT. Indeed, there's a risk that I might never learn my legs on one.

In any case, you're from DC, and any woman might fear that you could be (gasp!) a politician.

How about this:

1. Craft your profile with a sense of humor.

2. Then reflect that humor on-line.

3. And when you fall of the surfboard, grin, and get up on the f'ing surboard again.

I'm in trouble then. I am neurotic, insecure, strutting, incommunicative and as an added bonus brain damaged. But hey, I am a male and I can still breathe!! Do I get brownie points for that at least?? LOL[:D]

amayos -> RE: What Is It With Women...? (1/5/2006 6:13:56 PM)

There are a lot of people here bitching about this man's profile, but frankly, I don't really see anything wrong with it. Sure, perhaps he could elaborate more on his experience or desires in a submissive, but it amuses me how some people are turned off by his casual confidence.

In reflection, it's somewhat funny how this contrasts to many accepted dominant female profiles. Mistresses lay down the rules and ignorant statements, and that's that. Don't like it? Tough shit!

We're trying to explain to Foxer why he's having trouble meeting women, not male doms, but hey (shrug), if you want to take a run at him, go for it. Let us know what happens.

I think it was less the profile, and more the overly defensive attacking of anyone that didn't simply tell him he was absolutely right and oh so very cool. This is the internet. Some people are going to disagree with you. Some people aren't going to like you. And if you get your panties in a bunch and have a temper tantrum every time that happens, it doesn't come off as casual confidence.

I think I will take a run......but the other way.[&:] Its men like Foxer that make it difficult for the "nice guys" to even chat or meet with the women in the world. Shoot me if you want, but hey, thats just my POV.[:)]

It had nothing to do with his profile, and everything to do with his attitude
