Status: offline 		I am just thinking about all the criticism that Bush got during both terms.  Obama is getting a free pass at the moment (more so than Bush got in his first term.  But Obama never led anything.)  But Obama isn't going to get a free pass this time.  When people say they are sick of politics, they have been saying that for 8 years of Bush,  Well, Obama isn't getting a pass.

Bush got more of a free pass than any President in recent history.

The country united after 9/11 and no one dared criticize his administration for fear of appearing unpatriotic.

The press went along with him, the Democrats went along with him.

He virtually had free reign.

He was only criticized after his incompetence became too apparent for anyone to ignore.

Well if the campaign he engineered and the calm he exhibited,while McCain did a chicken little impersonation,is any indication.....this is one man not looking for a free pass.Seems to me we finally have a guy in that office who we can expect level cool headed decisions from no matter wha time the phone rings.

No wonder the topics of Religion and Politics are off limits in many places.  Obama's followers, rejoice and hope that he has the wisdom and good grace to lead us with honor and to have our best interest at heart.  McCain's followers, accept the majority's decision gracefully and move on. Either way, no one run for office just to piss the opposite followers off. This is not about you, but for our nation as a whole, so stop taking it personally.
