I don't think I'll ever get over the fact that there's a NASCAR driver named Dick Trickle

When I was a kid in rural WV, in the summer I attended vacation Bible school with a little hippie girl named "Love Child."  I thought it was pretty then and still do.

I know of people now whose first names are Honesty and Tomorrow.  Honesty is ok, I suppose, but Tomorrow doesn't exactly strike me as a good choice........

I tend to get a good laugh at some of the names of pro athletes.  Such as, "Milton Bradley" of the texas rangers.  "Yancey Thigpen" (formerly of the green bay packers), and many others.  Yes, Dick Trickle, as mentioned before, is on the list.  I also knew a Richard Fuchs (he did, indeed, go by 'richard', for obvious reasons).  Went to school with Angie Mima, and Charles Hunt (who unwittingly went by 'chuck' for a while).

I seriously do wonder if some of these parents went through such horrible pregnancies and labors that it's just revenge and they truly do hate their children.

Here in Chicago, FOX news has a reporter named Robin Robinson - and yes, it's her real name.
FOX also has a weather bunny named Amy Freeze.

A little bit of a digression, but I played in a thrown together band called Topliss, Wimmin  & Freebiyar. The owner of the venue insisted on the spelling just in case he had a riot on his hands, we just wanted a decent crowd.

Hmm...let's see..went to high school with Crystal Crank, got harassed in my late teens by Officer Richard Head (and yes he was), knew a kid named "Kilo" and Lamont Lamont. A friend of mine got in to some legal issues with Officer Theodore Bear.

Really, giving one's child a messed up name is character building...really it is

we had an estate agent (realtor) start business here 20 years ago - and only about five years ago did he have his for sale signs changed to Nick Tart. Shame, it had always raised a smile to see Nicolas Tart boldly painted every few miles.

my parents, god love them, caught the potential disaster of my intials before officially naming me.

My first and last initials are A and S.
Daddy wanted to give me the middle name of Shoena (I probably spelled it wrong).

Happily, they caught it, and I was given moms first name as a middle name (and made my initials the same as my dads)
