what happened to 'fighting with the majority'??

bestbabync -> RE: transcending racial prejudice (11/9/2008 6:12:05 PM)

oh and i forgot!

i see our PE as a man, not a white man or a black man.  i am not wearing rose colored glasses and i did not drink the koolaide.

but i pray for our country and PE Obama.  i respect him for his courage, i would never wish him ill and i do want him to succeed for all our sakes.

Thank you Philosophy. That is what i was trying to get across, but from my own perspective...i do get longwinded sorry

bestbabync -> RE: transcending racial prejudice (11/9/2008 6:19:36 PM)

Kitt, i am not ashamed of my choice!  i repeat it when people make the assumption that they know who i voted for or what side i am on.

again Kitt, are you a US citizen?  did you vote in the election?  just asking.  cause many times i have heard "if you did not vote you have no right to complain."  just saying

Strange, that's not what your posts convey. Oh well, if you're secure in your choice [&:] .

BamaD -> RE: transcending racial prejudice (11/9/2008 6:30:26 PM)

Two points

First if there were no presumption that racism was the reason some people voted for McCain there would be no point in starting this thread.

Second, I live in Alabama and the last time I was dating a black woman she cut it off because she couldn't cope with the racist reactions we got...... from black people.

subeos -> RE: transcending racial prejudice (11/9/2008 6:31:28 PM)

I had a friend today tell me she hates Obama because he is Black. She also thinks there is going to be a civil war in the US. She even stated, what is he going to call the White House? The Black House now? Then she apologized and said "I might be rude by saying that if you voted for him." To me, I saw her "true" colors. I am ashamed to be her friend. It is people like this that have an ignorance problem.
When he won that night there were all types of people there. Young, old, and all different races and beliefs. There were happy and in unision. Not a damn thing wrong with that as far as I can tell.

in every post i make you see a link!

i am showing respect for the PE because that is what every US citizen should do.  i do not agree with his politics, but he will be my President too.

you did not answer my question.

BestBaby,I have watched people go way out of their way trying to be polite and overly nice while refuting some of your more insensitive post's ,myself included.I have seen you make the same self depracating and disingenuous claim to not being"so smart" it isn't endearing and is in fact a little annoying. If in fact you have some mental deficiancy that precludes others from responding as they wish to ...perhaps you should rethink posting here
Edited because I fely like it!!!

LOL..the questions i in my previous post was not asked of anyone here!  if you read my previous post.

i voted for the candidate that best represented what i want for my future and my country.  i did not vote for PE Obama because he did not represent my views.  i am not smart like some of you but i am not simple-minded, nor did i drink the koolaide.

i am a libertarian and i voted libertarian, thank you!

LET FREEDOM RING!!!!!!

I did not suggest you are simple-minded, but you seem to have asked what Obama's plans are and you also seem to ignore the answers.  You constantly refer to his raising taxes when that is only partially true.  Unless you make more than $250k a year you will see less tax not more.

[&:] Thanks - funny how history can make one a tad paranoid, isn't it...

bestbabync -> RE: transcending racial prejudice (11/9/2008 6:43:33 PM)

oh ok..one more time, i know just as much about Obama as you do.  that is why i did not vote for him!

You realize that went down to roughly $100K, don't you? They kept lowering it during the campaign. And we will all see more because he has already stated that he would let the Bush tax cuts expire. You might want to talk to your accountant. When they expire, it will effect everyone.
