in every post i make you see a link!

i am showing respect for the PE because that is what every US citizen should do.  i do not agree with his politics, but he will be my President too.

you did not answer my question.

How are you showing 'respect' by constantly bringing up his biracial heritage?

Damm Naga, one has to work real hard to be as wrong as you are as often as you are.....

kittinSol -> RE: transcending racial prejudice (11/9/2008 6:50:55 PM)

Mike, cmail...

Naga -> RE: transcending racial prejudice (11/9/2008 6:52:37 PM)

How am I wrong, mike?

bestbabync -> RE: transcending racial prejudice (11/9/2008 6:54:49 PM)

i have rarely found many here polite or overly nice to me.  i have been called out and insulted because of improper grammer and spelling.  i find that annoying, since no one is perfect.

obviously i am in an environment where i am the minority in my opinions.  so i do not take the attacks personally but i do think it humorous.  so i was not trying to be endearing and i am not the only annoying poster here.

as far as Kitt, if she cannot stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.  i do not have sympathy for her, since it is obvious she has only contempt for me.

oh ok..one more time, i know just as much about Obama as you do.  that is why i did not vote for him!

then tell us again why you keep asking questions about his platforms? (and ignore the answers?)

Aynne88 -> RE: transcending racial prejudice (11/9/2008 6:57:43 PM)

Mike and kittin, read his journal re: the election. He doesn't even get his name right and is filled with hatred and vitriol. Closed mind. Don't waste our happiness and excitement on someone so obviously wanting him to fail.

Naga, it is President elect Barack Obama. You and baby need to get used to it. He won. YAYAYAYAYA~~~~~[:)]

Kittin, are you really going for citizenship?
How will you unlearn all that stuff in your head?

We'll make sure we file this invaluable piece of advice in the appropriate cabinet :-).

it's working.

And in this thread, chickie, it's got nothing to do with your grammar or spelling, trust me.

Yes, the one with the pretty waterfall :-) .

bestbabync -> RE: transcending racial prejudice (11/9/2008 7:02:14 PM)

the questions listed in the post that Rule is referring to were questions i asked several of my friends and acquaintances about their vote.  it was simply something i did on my own.

I do get his name right. I use the name that is on his birth certificate, not the one he changed it to when he tried to hide his origins. I am a person who changes his views when confronted by facts, not someone who tries to change the facts to fit their views. I am not a fan of denial.

And he may have won the election, but we all lost.

So, through the fluff.... You can't say how I am wrong, mike?

More hot air from you then? No facts to back yourself up? Same old, same old......

Doesn't he call himself black?
Are you the one that determines what he is permitted to call himself now?

for Christ sake!  people speak of racism and how it should not exist, then they put labels on themselves and others. they dangle it and say to the world, "look, we now have a black president!"  just like the political party arguement.  both the dems & pubs vote most time the same.  we are all americans not black, white etc.
since i have such a mixed racial background i consider myself an american, not black or white.

You are how old, again? 46, I do believe when you were younger the overall consensus in this country was one drop. You would be considered black.

Today it works like this ...

When you are Black and you are a symbol of grand achievement or beauty, you are not really black ie Tiger Woods, Obama, Halle Berry and ect or you are exceptional; an anomaly ... well maybe if we reach back a bit more we'll find some proof that you aren't really %100 African black.

However, the first time you fuck up ... you black again ...

Gary Dourdan.

I'm just speaking truth. Care to do the same?

Interesting.  My kids are half white American and half Sri Lankan.  Does that make them "all Asian?"

GreedyTop -> RE: transcending racial prejudice (11/9/2008 7:11:44 PM)

I just gotta say... I am so glad that my biracial cousins are not so conflicted about their bloodlines.. kinda like Obama :)
