It really bothers me to see incorrect grammar or misspelled words also. So I thought I'd point out your mistake.
When you use the word dominant the way you did in the latter "definition", it's a NOUN. Here's an example of dominant being used as an adjective: 'She is dominant.' Hence, it is describing HER which is the operation of an adjective.
Just thought I'd let you know this, since you tried to correct people in the first place!
