Status: offline 		Ok, I am so over all the flaming, bashing, whatever- yes it's one thing to have spirited conversation, its another to go at people's beliefs, especially when we ask for them---(yes I throw the first stone at My glass house as well)---but here is something fun ( I hope)

What is it you love about the life?

I love being Me, able to have what I want, when I want it and never having to wait--I love the dynamic of control for it is indeed what I am and what I am about--the TPE is to Me like breathing--the service, the devotion--- I love being wicked--chains, restraints, implements of pain and torment---the muffled cries behind the gag--the begging for more, the tears, the tenderness--I love walking the dark side as vanillers call it, for Me, it is where the sun warms My soul--and I love the thought that I may soon have a FT boy----<evil grin, wicked smile> I love the smell of leather and the coldness of chains---mmmmmMMMMMMM

This life is truly where My soul rests comfortably and I am happy---so what is it you love about this life?

Status: offline 		The question is- what do I love about "this life" that I couldn't find or have in another life?

The play space, the equipment and being around people "in the know" to learn from and share experiences.

Really, other than that, I get the same stuff "in the life" that I do in my "vanilla life." Those are the things I'd miss if I suddenly didn't have a kink community to enjoy. My relationship is who I am, my sense of self and fulfillment is always a part of me...not "the life."

I dont really see a distinction. I have one life. It happens to include a healthy daily dose of kink. What I love about my life, and the kink therein - being really seen. Knowing I can be vulnerable. Knowing I can be myself. Not having to figure out how to play vanilla dating games any more (their mating habits are so odd and counter-intuitive to me). Pleasing the one I love and consistently being told I am pleasing to him. Physical manifestations (as we dedfine and understand them) of his appreciation of me, my value to him. Living a life that is real. Like, REALLY REALLY real.
People find other ways to do this, which is why I find it difficult to frame the question the same way you have chosen to frame it, L.A....because like you I acknowledge that kink is not the only way to find peace and the ability to live Self truely, but it's been the vehicle toward that end for me. And that's what I love about it.
Oh, I also dig any opportunity to have naked time, or to dress up in sexy clothes.
... and experience an endorphin rush. :-)

Status: offline 		I have to agree with you. The TPE is the real big thing that atracts me to this lifestyle. I love it when I feel like I'm in total control and can demand anything I want. I'll admit that the sex is better in this lifestyle too but I believe that is because of the 'mind-set' that goes with the Dom/Sub relationship.

wow... aside from the lovliness of a good spanking, the pleasure of a good bruise, the intensity in waiting for the flogger to fall....

what do i love best? i like the self confidence it gave me. i had literally no self esteem having come from an abusive past. i felt i had no self-worth. no value. The Life gave me all that and a foundation to make it all improve. i cannot imagine how my life woud be now without this as the largest portion of it.

so my answer isnt as kinky or exciting as some of the others. and while i love many of the things that were mentioned,... the above is my answer

I love the loss of control...of being able to JUST BE ME and not be judged or found lacking....

Being me down to the simplest little thing. Like being able to curl up around his feet and just enjoy it.

i dont know about anyone else, but i can not imagine curling up round a vanilla's feet and it not being WIERD.

hmmmmm I thought of so many things but I kept comming back to one in particular.

I love, that one look, that I get from Master when I've done something that he truly appreciates. Not the lustfull look when I serve him privately and alone (and naked) but that other look. That one that even when we're surronded by a zillion people is meant just for me because he is proud of who I have become. That look where his eyes smile, his face relaxes, and he just takes a moment to live in that space of who we are together.
