I've been a supervisor for a long time, I deal with workers problems daily..I can speak from the management side...WE HATE people that can't get along and make problems..especially over some petty slight. Remember what does not seem petty to you often does to the boss.

My advice do your job the best you can and shut up...A Boss worth his salt will see it and want you over a troublemaker.

I took the opportunity to tell him that he would be receiving a letter in the mail, and that I had decided not to send it.

Smart. Well done.

He said he would simply hand it back to me unopened.

Also very smart. Shows you that you can trust him. So do.

So, I thought I would answer that question, but onto the subject at hand. There are further developments. The boss called today. You see we like to inbibe in this certain substance from time to time (to time to time to time) and he called to let me know that he had acquired some of said substance. I took the opportunity to tell him that he would be recieving a letter in the mail, and that I had decided not to send it. He said he would simply hand it back to me unopened.

Color me conservative, but if said substance is legal, you probably should not be doing it with your boss.  The best thing you can do to secure and keep your job is do it well, keep your nose down, mind your own business and do nothing that puts your ass on the line - especially with all the drama you have described.

AAk, I have said it before, I am a sociopath by nature. I care not what the law says. That is not to say I have no morality, but the two simply are totally unrelated.

Hey guess what, I changed out a hot water tank without obtaining a permit.

Not to worry, I am careful and so is he.

One thing I have noticed about people is that they think everybody else is like them. I have learned that this is not true, and I am one of the most different people there are. That cuts both ways of course because there are advantages, but there are also disadvantages.

Huggles T, I may not be a sociopath, but I have
know I was "different" all my life.
Shout - out to all that are wayyyyyyyy different!!
Especially those of us that are very different, even around here!
Again, pass the damn doobie.

Doing drugs is fine as long as you aren't endangering the lives of anyone. I am not anti-drug at all.
I just think doing drugs *with your boss* is one of those things that can bite you in the ass if the relationship goes sour.

Today went well. We didn't have any sort of powow or anything, we worked. Polite and nice, as if nothing had happened.
