What?  It's a thread called "Puzzles".  I'm simply repeating an old nursery rhyme.

No, dear PoliteSub... but I'd like to call you George.

I kid you not Ma`am, my birthday is indeed St Georges day. Maybe this is an omen.

Actually, I just thought that plain "Peon" was taken... Probably is.

----

Did I tell you the story of my first major 'BDSM Faux Pas?'  Just FYI - never ever ask a man who's nick is 'peon' to send you 'interesting photographs.'  *shudder*  What has been seen cannot be unseen.... even with eye bleach and steal wool.

(But it was not OUR PeonForHer... another one.  Ghod help me, I HOPE it was another one.)

Yeah, right.

The first 'peon' who sent me photos of himself with ....acupuncture needles and rope... were sent to me about 15 years ago... that would have made Our Peon 22.    Oh lord!  It IS possible!  EEEP!

Now, the ex-lover and fellow dom who is a friend that would help me move bodies...HE can email me and say "How's the sexiest redhead I know?" but then again, that's different, and a privilege of deep love and mutual respect.

Probably more alarming is the habit of very old westcountrymen of calling everyone who's younger, of either sex, "My lover".  (Or "my loverl", as it actually sounds.)

As a former west country lass, I can confirm it is indeed alarming, even for those who are native. Though in fairness to the old west country boys who assume an over familiarity with someone many decades their junior, I have come across my fair share of old west country girls who use the term 'muy-luveerl' also, lol. 'Ooow-eerr' .

*smile*  My first husband never understood why I called him "Dearest, Darling, Light of my Life."   Then he finally saw "The Shining".... and caught the fact that the 'father' called his wife that right before chopping her with an ax.  He never considered it a 'term of endearment' after that.  Which was good, because every time I used it, I wanted to chop his head off.

I used the line in Natural Born Killers a lot ;)

"Are you flirting with me?" You know, she asks that question before she whipes the floor with the guy...

I'm less puzzled by Sweetie than I am by 'I'm Bishi" (I'd love to know what that means!)

Oh..and if anybody wants a full-funded trip to Egypt or Lebanon, let me know. I received two emails this morning from men wishing to import a Goddess.I'm not in a rush to make that trip - crossfire makes me nervous. I mean, seriously, there is no place for Kevlar in my fetish wardrobe !

At first I thought Otter was a trifle... over the hill?...to be bishi, but now that he has shown that he is totally kawaii as well, I am accepting his self identification!

Bishie---Japanese, youthfully handsome/alluring, think of a young Leo DeCaprio
Kawaii--Japanese, CUTE!

Does that have anything to do why middle aged Japanese women try to dress up like little girls and throw temper tantrums because it is considered "cute"?

Sweetie", "Sexy" or "Honey"

It kinda sounds condesending and belittling...like how some men treat a waitress or some 1950's secretary would be addressed (because they could).

Yeah, those names should be reserved for a more long-term passionate relationship (or even between friends).

I would even find it offensive in an email from a stranger and I am no Mistress-type.

(maybe because I am no honey and definately not a sweetie lol)

You should come to Dublin, Lady Constanze, laughs, some guys might even refer to you as a bird, no not me but some guys would as in Do you see that bird , look at her tits, She is awesome, like i say complimentary to many but not to some. Some chicks for want of a better word would rearrange your face and not in a nice say if you dared call them a bird, then there are some who would laugh it off or even take it as a compliment
