It is rude to call anyone you don't know by a diminutive. It is especially rude when used towards a dominant woman, one who you hope to give power to rather than take it from.

You appear to be conflicted about your submissiveness considering the many times you shoot yourself in the foot.

In the United States, on the other hand, "How's the crack?" is not a recommended opening line.

how's the craic will get you anywhere you want to go on the other hand and is the standard opener on a night out

While I wouldn't recommend asking in Ireland for a ride if you want a lift, well I guess it depends who you are asking ;) I didn't understand when somebody asked me for one and told the guy "No, I'm here by bike", I wasn't trying to be snarky but everybody attributed me with a greater command of the language than I had then.

Coming from Dublin, some Women like to be called Bird, Chicken.........

So a slave/sub to an Irish Domme, after a skat session, is covered in "chicken shit"?

It would have been a waste of a perfectly adequate supper. He looked like he had moss growing on the few remaining teeth...

The odd thing is, I'm aware of the "ride" thing but even now (12 or 15 years later), I still can't figure out what double meaning bike has or "I'm here by bike"

I get most of the plays with words quicker than native speakers and as a non-native speaker, the "dirty meaning" of something is more obvious (actually not always, should have seen my colleagues in NYC when I "Popped out to have a quick fag" until it dawned on me) but the bike thing still puzzles me, the only thing I can think off is that sometimes a slag is called a bike?

Darias -> RE: Is it disrespectful to address a Domme as Honey , Chicken, Bird etc (11/17/2008 6:20:40 AM)

occasionally a woman of loose morals is described as the town bike.... as in everyone gets a ride

thats all that comes to mind

Coming from Dublin, some Women like to be called Bird, Chicken , Honey but more and more now even Women this side of the Atlantic find this disrespectful. Is it disrespectful to You?  How different is it to calling a slave my boy, my bitch, my worm etc.  Or is there specific criteria in which one should address a Domme/Dom.  Furthermore Is formal address required always or would hi Ya , how are u, etc be acceptable sometimes. Its an age old question folks and i just thought i d throw out there
