RS your missing some great deer hunting this year. They have such a big problem with them in Rochester that they are letting the police set up deer stands to hunt them at night. There has been a ton of road kill so far this year.

It's 32 right now and there is still a little snow on the ground from 2 days ago. It is very unusual for this time of year. Normally it doesn't start snowing till mid december and then it never sticks.

It's about -1°C here with maybe 4" of snow on the ground. Pretty cool to watch the squirrels zipping and hopping around in it, looking for their nuts. I love this time of year though it doesn't always like me. [:)] Rain°

My oldest near Rochester got damn near half a foot of snow last night. They don't cancel classes for snow, they heat the sidewalk between all the academic buildings instead. Here we got some snow the other day, mainly stuck to cars and the roof but not the ground. We're getting snow showers off and on all day but had to tell the youngin he isn't getting early dismissal for it. My recollection of Florida is that November and December are never very warm. Even in Miami, people pull out their sweaters and coats this time of year.

um... RS, I hate to tell you but about every 7-8 years Daytona has wickedly cold winters. One year it even snowed about an inch there. I'm going to guess that this will be one of those winters. Enjoy your Michigan memories. The good news is in late January, early February, it warms back up to where it should be.

Kal, try the Key's method of staying warm during a cold snap. Very few homes have heat down there. Cruise the bars for, ummm, Rubenesque women. Bring two home with you. Get in bed between them and have them rub their bods together until the desired temperature is achieved. Oh, yea...and rum, lots of rum.

A week ago I would be the ultimate internal furnace, finally subcomed to HRT, visiting northern NJ and it 26 right but has been colder the last couple of days, plus there is a small amount of snow on the ground. Im rethiking the hrt so I not so damned cold. LOL

The current forecast for my area is a high of 26 F. Right now it is a cool 17.5 F and there's a whole 2" of snow on the ground! So if anyone needs some extra heat, let me know as I am a walking furnace.

My daughter went to school in northern Michigan. The school never shut down. 2 ft of snow at a time is the norm up there. Stella for the people in her area squirrel nuts are a delicacy

I remember well one xmas in Miami Beach... we decided to drive on down to Key West to avoid the cold snap. Where there is no heat. Where we were on a waiting list for BLANKETS! LOL!
