i would if i could carry the dang thing.  *hugs back and grins*

right now things are bad enough that i have a promise from TheEngineer that we will come home early from the holiday visit if i get overloaded.  and next month?  geez.  divorce, wedding, imp visit, command to appear from my family (ok so i moved here in june and no one has seen me but my parents so i sorta expected this), and sometime in there i have to find the oomph to clear out the spare bedroom of *his* books so the imp has a place to sleep.  nope, not busy at all! 

january, i'll probably be doing the name change stuff.  i told him we have to let me rest up to have a honeymoon. good thing he's a patient dominant.  *re-reads this and cracks up*  at least i keep telling myself that!

Status: offline 		Have you tried making an appointment for the week of the wedding..most DMV's and Soc Sec offices will do that. Another trick I found works is to go to a DMV that is is a suburb instead of in the city proper. Not sure if that will work in Houston, but, it does here.

eh, the wedding looks like christmas week at this point.  (divorce is the 15th, papers coming from florida to texas)  so i dont know about making an appointment.    great idea though!

and i hadnt even thought about a suburb.  hmm...could go visit the 'rents and see about doing the change in the next town over, i know they have an annex there.  thank you!

Status: offline 		Kitten.. go to walgreens or cvs or something similar.. get a folding camp chair.. they weigh very little.. you can drag it if need be... and they're usually fairly cheap (especially this time of year)

eta: even the NON folding plastic patio chairs may work.. really lightweight. AND.. when the DMV folks see it, they may be more inclined to expedite your processing *grin*
