I feel like I’ve had this conversation a lot lately. I detest the premise of face slapping – to me it just feels too totally disrespectful. My Master would never want to take the chance of leaving a mark there or causing other types of damage so it’s not something we do as part of play, or really in general for that matter. I think it can be pretty powerful and because he knows I hate it he will not hesitate to slap me if he feels the need to put me in my place or affirm he’s serious.

He did slap me once when we were playing; it went from lighthearted to him being in a serious Dominant mood – I didn’t really pick up on his other cues and was still trying to squirm away – a quick medium slap to my face quickly put me into slave mode. Just enough to let me know a change in my behavior was necessary and he was serious.

I really do not care for face slapping. Not sure exactly why. I guess because I find nothing erotic or sexy about it. I enjoy spanking, hair pulling, flogging. Now that I think about it I find it rather funny I do not like face slapping.

I personally like it...alot...that being said, i will add i don't want to be slapped into next week either! 
I have to trust the person doing it also, and i've never been slapped in anger, i think experiencing it coming from that emotion would put me in fight or flight mode.......But when it's done right...oh my..it's startling, and puts me right into a lovely headspace.....

The face is the one sacred place left on a human body, in general.  Especially in the younger generation.  You get your ass slapped by someone in a group of your friends, whatever, you laugh it off.  People touch all the time, and touching is for the most part okay.  Even in ways and areas that used to be completely tabboo.  But faces are still scared.  One of the quickest ways to enrage most people, especially most strangers, is to hit them in the face.  Likewise, one of the quickest ways to melt someone you're intimate with is to gently touch their face. 

So it's an incredibly intense situation, and I love that intensity.  It brings me back into focus and turns me on tremendously.  But on the other side of the coin if it comes from someone I don't know well, and especially from a stranger, it flips another switch entirely and I see red.  Within the D/s context, though, coming from my partner.... Yum.

It's a hard limit.  I don't have bail money for myself for the attempted manslaughter charges that would result from what happened after the slap.

I have only been slapped in the face once, I admit I deserved it, but it put me into such shock and humiliation that I have to say I'd rather avoid it.

Master doesnt really slap...Its more of a pop in the cheek really.  Usually, its used when I get a bit too mouthy, or, to gain my attention when I am too unfocused on him.  On the other hand, he has slapped when we were playing around. So, its a toss up of the surroundings, his mood, and what I am doing.

I think I'd like it,  though definitely.. it would depend on the "trust" factor
And having had my jaw badly fratured / wired and bolted (so's to speak ) back together,

For us as well.  I think it goes too close to the line of abuse.  Plus the danger of permanent damage to sight/hearing puts this in the hard limit basket.
