Generally speaking, if you're smart, pretty, I like you, and its done playfully, then you would likely become my new best friend. [;)]

I like it. I've only had it done to me a couple times, but I enjoyed it. Of course, it was shocking at first. But the tingling was almost like bringing me on a high. Master didn't hit me TOO hard. I don't think he would ever backhand me or deal me a severe blow. He tends to know what will work, without going over the top, thank goodness. After hearing a few horrible stories on here though, it makes me kind of wary!

Daes -> RE: Face Slapping . Do you like it (11/23/2008 3:49:01 AM)

Short answer - depends on the context.

Long answer: I enjoy face slapping when it is used as a form of foreplay. If it has Some sort of sexual or erotic context then I'll like it. Anything beyond that has potential to seriously piss me off.

SilverMark -> RE: Face Slapping . Do you like it (11/23/2008 3:59:20 AM)

I had a girl who loved face slapping and at first I was reluctant, in my mind it was something akin to abuse....but, once I got over my reluctance and saw the effects it had on her....well, to say it has risen on my list of favorite activities might be an understatement.

I have lenses implanted in both eyes, the last thing he would do is something that carries the risk of blindness for me.

It seems really simple, but between the ear drums and the eyes, there's a huge risk of danger in this. Especially with a smaller sub and a dom with bigger hands.

Des
i agree wholeheartedly. However, i attended a face slapping demo put on by NELA and there are safe ways to do it....if the slapee has no health issues that preclude it...and some of those would be any issues with the person's eyes or ears...

Accidents do happen...and this thread will go the way they all have...and i am in no way at all diminishing the seriousness of safety...but as with almost every single SM related activity, there are safety concerns. And any prior health issues would have to be taken into account.

And, its not a full on, shoulder to elbow to wrist to hand kind of slap that would be more associated with a fight or uncontrolled situation.

Perse, I know it can be done safely but not to me, nor to anyone who has had a detached retina or laser surgery or...  Plus he wears a size XXL glove, so he has really huge hands. They're just too big for my face.

It's a pity because this is one of those things that I think I would find really hot if it wasn't on the long list of stuff contraindicated, like playing ball sports without full eye protection! And the idea of doing it with me wearing goggles just makes me giggle.

This is kind of an aside. I respect your opinion and am certainly not trying to talk you into anything, especially since you said you have lens implants, but many athletes have laser surgery and do fine. Many have also had surgery for detached retinas and do well in contact sports. The boxer, Sugar Ray Leonard, comes to mind. After his surgery for a detached retina he had many more fights. Matter of fact the girl I slap, who posted above, has had laser surgery.

Since we are talking about it, I never slap the eyes, ears or TMJ. It is hard but controlled.

I absolutely love having my face slapped. That stinging sensation, left by His hand... *sigh*

I think face slapping is great, i don't want to get punched, but a good firm slap is nice.....

But Sugar Ray was advised never to fight again and when the retina detached the second time he was extremely lucky in it being repaired. Unfortunately second detachments are much harder to repair successfully.

Have her ask her opthalmic surgeon what would happen if you hit wrong. Because he's not going to give her any kind of successful guarantee.

As I said, way too risky for me.

I don't like it, but I love that he likes it, and what used to be a bad trigger, was a deliciously surprising turn on.

If slapped in anger, however, it would put me in a similar bad place that beth mentioned.  I don't have any doubt that I'd shut down and withdraw.

natasha66 -> RE: Face Slapping . Do you like it (11/23/2008 7:15:30 PM)

This gets a HUGE thumbs down from me - hate it with a passion.

Not sure what kind of laser surgery you're talking about, but even LASIK is known to be dangerous in certain situations (e.g., in combat or high g enviroments, the flap can be dislocated).  And having more fights after surgery for a detached retina just doesn't seem very smart to me.  I suppose if you don't NEED perfect visual acuity, it wouldn't matter, but...some of us do.
Although like I said for myself, it's too bad.  I find it hot, but can't risk my job over it.

monywildcat -> RE: Face Slapping . Do you like it (11/23/2008 7:59:31 PM)

Oh, yuck, I cannot stand the face-slapping.  The end result would not be pretty.  I tried, I really really did, but I only got fired up and mad.  All to the bad.  I can think of many other places to give me a good stingy whack.  [;)]

BLGirl -> RE: Face Slapping . Do you like it (11/23/2008 8:11:56 PM)

Only problem here is the size of Daddy's hand. He could cover my face completely with it, so he has to be really careful not to hit my jaw with the heal of his hand. I'm sure I would fall flat out, if it did! I wouldn't mind, but he would completely freak out if he thought he hurt me.

I like it. Though I do not feel that it is of good use for punishment.

Aneirin -> RE: Face Slapping . Do you like it (11/24/2008 8:34:23 AM)

I have thought on this, and I have to say, no, I would not enjoy face slapping, that is being slapped. Why, because there are too many very raw memories of having that done by someone who once said they loved me. To be slapped in the face by one who is supposed to love you provokes pretty iffy feelings, feelings I do not wish to experience again.

If someone were to slap me again, sure as not, they would get the best of what I can deliver with my fist square in the mush. I am not a violent person, I don't hit people, but that kind of result would be an involuntary action I think, thinking on it now here, the thought of being slapped evokes not nice memories, memories of confusion, sadness and anger.
