CM Thanksgiving Dinner Party (Full Version)

The table is long and fits many people. Matter of fact it's a magic table it will expand as much as we want. The table is set with beautiful white linen. With an orange, gold and brown runner down the middle . There are beautiful centerpieces made of fall leaves, gold leaves and candles of orange and red. I have made some pumpkin pies which I hope will be lighter and fluffier than normal as I whipped the egg whites and folded them in. The pies have a gingersnap crust. Also some pineapple upside down cake. i will leave the turkey for a turkey expert.

So come bring a dish and tell me what you are thankful for?

I am thankful I give good Thanksgiving thread! ALso that i have so much love in my life.

My cooking skills are modest, but I think I can rise to a green bean casserole. I love those fried onions!

I am thankful that my recent medical adventures have deepened my awareness of how deeply my family and friends care for me.

I'm not cooking at home this year, but I make a seriously delicious turkey.  I'm happy to pop a virtual 25 pounder in the oven for the group, as long as someone else makes the gravy, I suck at gravy.

[:(]  Darn it too late.... Gravies and sauces are my specialty. Okies, how about if I make pumpkin chocolate chip bread and a hazelnut cheesecake?  Ooooo, and that really easy cranberry-orange relish? Gawds, I can eat that by itself.....

(And the mushroom gravy sounds delish! I love mushies!)

good  morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all.
 
handing Roselaure a big bowl of my yummy delish stuffing to stuff into her seriously delicious turkey. i love stuffing and love making it. the stuffing i have prepared for you lovely CMers has smoked apple sausage and fresh mushrooms...it will go nicely with your mushroom gravy, Lushy.
 
i am grateful for my rich friendships, my children and grand daughter. i am also grateful for being able to support myself with work that involves both using my mind and my heart. i am so grateful that i have a 2 week paid vacation that affords me an opportunity to travel and meet ResidentSadist in the flesh and hopefully CJ, Greedy, and Gwyn.

I'm really thankful for so much.  I have good friends, good family, a loving relationship, crazy little pets, a good job, a persnickety van, and a pantry full of yummies that I was blessed enough to receive last weekend to make sure our Turkey day was a nice one.

I'm making Nellie's Salad.  It's so festive & can be served before during or after dinner.  Versatile too!!!  One of these years I'm going to make it with cutouts of fall leaves on top.

Things I'm thankful for:

My wonderful sweet Daddy...errrr, *koff!koff* I mean His Evilness
My fantabulous family
Getting a job that I love, even though it probably doesn't pay enough
These boards which saved my sanity last year when I was chairbound with the broken foot and where I've learned & expressed, met great people who have become my friends, with whom I have shared tears of sorrow & joy & much much laughter!
Relative health
My furbabies
My neighbors & friends
Freecycle!!!!!
The fact that my pan didn't just burn up when I turned on the wrong burner for the Nellie's Salad

Well, the family is off celebrating without me, since I am too SICK to eat!  (and want to be Near Facilities, Just In Case...) so I bring JELLO!!  That layered salad with the fluffy layer and the shiny layer, with blueberries and raspberries.  Reddi-wip for on top.

I am thankful for all sorts of stuff all the time, my parents, my friends, my birdasaurus, being an only child, being reasonably healthy, being an American in the 21st century, the list is ENDLESS!!  How cool that I can share it all here with my Imaginary Friends!!
