Status: offline 		When I am dommeing someone, I get this delicious high!!! It is the most amazing, and scary, feeling to know that someone has COMPLETELY put their trust in you, and they know you will only do what is right by them. It is so powerful when that person cums over and over again, and when they come down, all they want to do is be held be you, and nurtured by you. In truth, I think my favorite part of dommeing is the aftercare. The blankets, juices, massage, sex and whatever else is a part of that particular aftercare session. Any thoughts?

Status: offline 		For me play doesn't have to involve absolute and ultimate trust, mind fucks and fear play necessarily input doubt that only the right thing will be done, orgasms are rarely part of the kinky play itself (certainly not on my part), and lots of people do not want to be held or nurtured after scenes.

So while I'm in a completely different place than you on all the aspects you happen to mention here- it's good that you know what works for you and go for that.

to me it sounds about the same me being the alpha i cant wait to see that with Master and my pet and cant wait to feel it with Master.

At the risk of the mighty Focus Uberius sounding a tad mushy (*gasp*), my ideal aftercare is a lazy Sunday afternoon on the bed with the girl all naked and lightly bound (wrists & ankles) with me wrapped around her for a coupla hours either chatting about nothing in particular or catching a few light Z's.  I prefer passive intimacy to "juices, massage, sex and whatever else" at these times....

I'll withhold judgement till she responds, but I don't want aftercare after someone's hit me! I will provide any stimulation to promote more blood flow and other things myself. I'll cuddle and do the lovey-dovey stuff after I've done that.

i would have to agree, aftercare can be a moment to really bond and dare i say it fall in love.

however i would also agree with focus, i dont get much in the way of service or massages just more cuddling, talking, relaxing... great things to have and want but not my favorite

Not everyone needs aftercare even after a hard scene.    I don't as a matter of fact having someone groping all over me after a hard scene would probably ruin a good hard scene.   I NEED to be left alone.

I disagree.

I prefer to be left alone after a scene. That might mean me snuggling up under my blanket on my dog bed, or snuggling into whoever i've been playing with when allowed in the bed. Either way thats all i need.
For me it is 24 hours plus later that i need aftercare. When drop hits i feel lousy and really really need cuddles etc. Considering i am rarely with whoever i have played with by then i have learnt to provide myself with after care. It might be snuggling the dog or it might be just snuggling under the covers but i manage quite well on my won.

Status: offline 		He likes cuddling except that he's always so hot and sweaty afterwards and I need heavy blankets. But basically, I reach out and get the water glass I brought in earlier, and then ask for some time to sleep. 10 or 15 minutes minimum is needed so I don't keep tripping over my own feet, but being allowed to crash until I wake up on my own really restores me to normal.

Not neccessarily. I know I dont. Dont need blankets cause Im already too hot. Just let me sit in front of the fan, drinking a glass of soda or water, smoke my cigarette and just ....be.

Maybe you need aftercare, but not everyone does. I don't necessarily need the hugs, massages, etc. Sometimes that is good, but most of the time I prefer to be allowed to curl into a fetal position and float, with MasterK just checking in on me occasionally.

It seems from the other answers that there are those that want little to no aftercare, subs who may want it (or more of it) but don't get it, and then relationships where there is just the right amount.  If what you do is good for both of you - more power to you.  : )

BULLSHIT!!!  some people need little or no aftercare after any type of scene.  Don't paint everyone with your brush.  Often times the aftercare my girls get or want is... laying them off to the side until the feel like getting up again.  I don't have much to do with them.. in fact often... I am playing one as the other is just sitting there watching the scene.

what people need is not aftercare... what they need is what they need!  Which may be little or not or alot... it's all very subjective to the individuals involved.


editted to add... I went back and finished reading the thread... I was amused on how many called you on your bullshit comment.

I agree.. I think it's fantastic that the OP understands what she enjoys... but she also needs to ensure she understands what the person she is playing with enjoys.  I know her approach would be HIGHLY annoying for my girls and would actually end up ruining the  experience with her approach.

I guess some people find a great sense of empowerment and joy in having that used and tossed aside feeling and then finding the strength within themselves to get up and walk away with a smile on their face.

Status: offline 		mmmm i heart aftercare, regardless of which role i'm playing. if i'm topping then i deserve to hold my baby after all that hard work. if i'm on the bottom it just feels really nice to be cuddled. last night i downright needed it. i was in a daze and needed him to stay close by me and give me water. it was heaven.
