Ok, in desperation I ask here, wavy curly hair, how the hell does one keep it under control ? The hair is long, when wet four inches below shoulder height, and manageable. Dry, it reduces in length to shoulder height, in other words, it waves and curls for a distance of four inches and no matter what I do, I cannot keep the stuff untangled. Run a wide tooth comb through it to tease out the tangles, move to the next bit, so far so good, but go over the lot again, it is just as bad as when first started, it has tangled and interlocked with the rest, often with spiral corkscrew type ringlety things. Advice please ? To note, I use Lush products to clean with, Tramp for the wash and Coolaulin for conditioner. Tramp, is a melissa, patchouli and oakmoss mix, Coolaulin is a coconut, benzoin and vetivert mix, so no chemicals or preservatives. The hair is ok for a couple of days, manageable, but after that tangled it becomes, making one feel a new hair wash and condition very necessary. But, I read somewhere that it is not good to keep washing the hair due to washing the natural oils out, so I feel inclined to stick with that, but the hair becomes a mess. So, I ask of anyone here that has wavy, curly, kinky hair, what can be done to keep the mess tidy between washes ? (No smart ass comments about cutting it short, my hair has a lot of growing to do before I cut it )
