Personally, I find humiliation the best type of p(f)unishment.  When it's punishment with a "p," I try not to take too much pleasure in it (but I do still...just a little bit).  When it's Funishment, the fun for me is being creaive.  Most of my funimshments are humiliative in nature.  Sometimes we would go to a grocery store (never local as we were both working professionals), and, having blown me in the parking lot, would do all her shopping with my cum on her face.  I also like the adversity aspect explained above.  Making coffee while cuffed behind the back, or making dinner while blindfolded is a fun game as well.  I guess my advice to you (or to your dom) is that nothing is off limits, as long as it's safe & sane, and anything can be made into a game.  Real punishment (with a "P"), however, should not be a game, but funishment (with an "F") can be anything you like.  Humiliation and Advesity games are just two examples.  He might want to throw a party for people in which you serve guests topless, or nude, or are the main course, or the foot platter itself, or just on display in some fashion.  You may be instructed to entertain him or his guests in some way be it a dance or a song.  Punsihment for fun is a great game; jon't let your dom overthink it.  As for actual punishment, call me old school, but I've never known a good solid whipping to be insufficient to expressing an important point.

I do not have a favourite punishment for to do so would imply that I enjoyed punishing another which I do not. To punish any slave of mine would be an admission of failure in my part and a breach of training. When errors do crop up I believe in educate and if some form of punishment is deemed necessary, there will usually be additional chores designed to reinforce the correction of the original issues. I will say however that it has been my experience that the most devistating form of punishment is the slave k nowing that I have found her displeasing and am dissapointed in her..


That is however just my view and probably will not sit well with many..

When i am punished it is usually for forgetting to do something or a lapse in training. Correction or discipline is done dispassionately and calmly, then not revisited. i receive three to five swats with a paddle for each infraction. Always, i am asked if there were any extenuating circumstances and how it can be prevented in the future.

For me the correction is important, the accountability for my actions is very necessary. Rules make me feel secure and safe. If i break a rule, i need to know that the consequence will be followed up on... if He didn't bother to correct me for breaking a rule or forgetting an order, then what is the point in having the rules? It would make me feel less cherished, as if He couldn't be bothered with me.

To my thinking, there is an implied contract with rules. If i do this, He will do that. If i do something wrong and i am not corrected, then He has not fulfilled His side of that implied contract.

I agree with you and in such cases the actual punishment many be the case of punishment must be seen to be done too.. My point was simply is that many do not actually enjoy punish]ing a sub/slave even though punishment is both called for and deserved. I'll take this a step further and say that in my book, a Dominant who enjoys punishing, is a poor Dominant indeed, especially when all the punishment techniques are available as part of play and can be employed as such.

Seriously, though, you're probably asking about playful responses to playful brattiness, all in good nature, to which my general reply would be "tickling." If you're able to combine sadism and playfulness, then tickling should be a great way to make sure everyone is laughing, although potentially for very different reasons. Just make sure you know where the line between tickling and watersports is drawn. -lol-

As you probably noted, most of the replies here dealt with relationships where obedience is taken very seriously, which appears to be more common here on CM than on other such boards I've visited. (Thankfully, since that's my preference, too, and one that is virtually non-existent in all the open groups where I live.) Don't be discouraged. Just rephrase, and there'll be some interesting suggestions.

the answers on here differ greatly from the common responses on the chat for dommes and subs.

The answers here are well though out and have to do with getting the desired response in the future. In my opinion, you have all gone way over the head of the person posing the question. He was looking for cat o nine tails, or some medieval thing. He wants to torture someone and the error is the excuse. He doesnt want to teach the sub anything.

Misbehavior is met with a punishment to fit the infraction.  I do not at all enjoy or decide on the punishment until we have had a discussion about the incident.  Recently it meant telling a sub that she was no longer welcome in our home.  That was drastic, but the infraction was a trust breaker.  For me discipline is not about play.  And for those that say spanking a masochist doesn't work, I say that is not always true.  I know a pain slut who can take a world of hurt and shine.  But I have seen her sobbing and crying from a simple spanking of a wooden spoon because it was done in punishment.  Mindset has a lot to do with that. 

As for the sadistic little things I do in our playtime...  well, there are just way to many to mention here!

Master T uses a paddle on me or puts me in the corner to hold a ball with the tip of my nose.  I really fuck up a lot (more so lately than earlier), so Master punishes me more often than normal slaves at the moment...so I have TONS of things that he does.

This sort of follows along the lines of OBMOD which is organizational behavior modification. When dealing with subordiants there will probably be times when they violate the rules of the organization and you need to do something about it as the manager. So you have two choices, you can use negative reinforcement of rules such as a written reprimand or another type of punishment, or you can use positive reinforcement, such as calling the employee in and discussing what they did wrong, and finding the root source and dealing with this root cause and trying to prevent it from happening again. As part of the positive approach you also commend them when they do something correctly to reinforce that positive behavior. The problem with negative reinforcement is that you are going to negatively affect that persons attitude towards you and potentially the organization. It can have the opposite affect and merely bury the problem while decreasing morale and productivity. There are some instances where the person has done something so out of line as to be fired, in which this doesnt apply. But overall it has been proven that a positive reinforcement approach leads to higher morale, more trust of management and higher productivity.

It is easy to see how this theory can incorporate into d/s. While not all situations are the same, generally following the positive reinforcement approach will work better in the long run and provide for a more stable happy relationship then one wrought with fear of punishment.

Just my .02 cents.

Sadistic activities, for me, have nothing to do with behavior modification. For me, that's fun time.

The key is to train Ones pet to perform effortlessly. Why would a master wish to have to take time away from his day to punish , when his time should be spent in recieving please and service . The worst form of punishment that a master can administer in to ignore his pet and allow her to go unnoticed. Those invisible welts are the ones that go unhealed, but don't build calus, or extend limits,,  rather they go straight to the head and the heart. And the mind is a terrible thing to waste.
