Hello all.....just thought i'd introduce myself. Looking through the posts, i haven't seen much on hypnosis. Are there others out there who live for it?

Hypnosis excites me too... i have had little experience with it... i would love to have a domme with the power to hypnotize me into doing her bidding... :-)

i agree with what Daniel just wrote... it is something i am fascinated and very intrigued by.

i feel that i have a very active, imaginative, and creative mind... i'm wondering just how receptive i truly am.

i would love experience it one day.

We have experimented with hypnosis a bit (He more than I) with some success. Actually the more intelligent and imaginative the subject the easier they are to hypnotize as a rule. However the myth of using hypnosis to "force" someone to do things is just that, a myth. You cannot be hypnotized and forced to do something that you are completely opposed to. Its more of a lowering of inhibitions through suggestion. Not unlike the effects of alcohol except without the hangover or enormous bartab

FemDom.....it looks like your interest is only in women, but i would love to explore it more.

You are correct, i think, that it is similar to the effects of alcohol. In addition, those who are well educated have perhaps developed their abilities to concentrate and focus, which should help in the narrowing of attention to keep surrender their mind somewhat. Presumably the combination of a willing subject and talented domme or dom would be rather a potent one.

one of our mistresses does hypnosis and it is extremely popular with slaves if you are in the UK and Ireland then you can all experience it yourselves

well, here goes, first post!
Being sub to a hypnotherapist, i can actually say, IT WORKS, and its amazing what your mind can lead you to believe! hoever, i will say if your body or subconsious feels threatened you will snap out of trance within seconds! taka a nice deeeeep breath.... hehehe

I can imagine it working much better on the phone than in text. I have have a few try text, but it's quite dull actually, at least for me.

Does anyone know how to search by interests withing the profile? You can spend a lot of time scanning profiles and not find someone interested in hypnosis.

someone once tried to put me under hypnosis ... it did not work ...

he was really amazed because i am far from dumb ...

but i would just not let go completely .... it takes awhile for me to let go of things to people and well i didnt know him well enough to do it...

it would be interesting tho

I have had some experience with it. Generally for me it put me into a much deeper state of relaxation, and opened my mind. My Domme used it to probe me mentally, to try to uncover more about my submission to her etc. But as far as getting me to do things etc - nada - doesnt work that way.

I am interesting in learning how to do it. Would be a great tool. And vice versa, to help ease with doing what I need to do (non D/s related, more of along the lines of life issues that would be easier with someone else at the helm for a while.)

I do know a couple who are doing it, and doing it well with classical and operant conditioning thrown in as well. And the unfortunate or fortunate side effect of this is, they are doing it with my safeword. I dont know if I should tuck tail and run, or gleefully await the evilness they will have in store for me.

Welcome slt4hypnosis! I wouldn't say that "I live for it" as I do have limited experience, but I do know, from my personal experience, that just a woman using her sexuality in a controlled manner will usually generate the subject's mind to respond submissively. Of course, there has to be a level of attraction for this to happen whether it be mental, emotional, or physical. And of course the subject should have an open mind like a sponge. The subject has to want it. It is also like subspace.... you have to trust your hypnotist in order to totally relax and let go of ALL your inhibitions.
I would never expect complete and total obedience from the subject while under hypnosis. The subconscience will hold on to it's basic moral code to follow, even while hypnotized. If there are some acts (bdsm related

) that the subject wants to experience ONLY while hypnotized, (usually, releasing them from responsibility and guilt of that particular act) then I feel hypnotism can be very effective and therapeutic. The subject can use hypnotism as an excuse to act out his "unthinkable" fantasies ........while being under the control of his Dom/Domme...... at NO fault of his own.

It does seem that a significant aspect of hypnosis for the sub is the ability to absolve him/herself of responsibility for conduct that is truly and strongly desired. Conduct desired, and committed, in trance can then be assumed to be someone else's responsibility, so that one can have the pleasure of forbidden or taboo conduct without the potential accompanying guilt.

Another important note you touch on: Sometimes sheer physical attraction can overwhelm the mind to such a degree as to inducing something resembling a hypnotic state in the subject, such as is commonly the case in almost any male in the presence of a woman to whom he is attracted.

I have had some good experiences with a couple of submissive women in that regard. They really want to let loose and experience some things they are afraid to do for real.

They seem to desire to let that "inner slut" loose, and it is a good way to start.

I don't know if i LIVE FOR hypnosis, but i make my living WITH hypnosis, does that count. Having read down this thread before starting my reply...
I would like to say that those of you who have some knowledge and/or experiences seem to be right on, theoretically. Yes, i have used hypno with some of my slaves, with good and bad results... when they decide they are gone the hypno wouldn't/didn't stop them... but yes it did help in them to do the things they 'genuinely" wanted to do. Yes, throrteticall, you can't make anyone violate their moral and ethical principals... (it you don't have any morals or ethics- let's have a face to face- lol) But as has been stated in some cases the "belief" that they can 'blame' it on hypnosis or the hypnotist will sometimes enable them. To the person who mentioned a hard time letting go... if you are afraid you will loose control... fear is the quickest hypnosis killer... see David Elmans book. -- Hypnotherapy. (I inventory it at my office for those who want to buy a copy. more late gotta go right now...
