I am sitting here early morning and I think I see a UFO sighting. I am not totally sure. But do not know what to do except take pictures.

Not really.  The amount of energy/effort for an extraterrestrial, if they exist, to visit Earth would be incredible, and I cannot conceive of them doing it unnoticed.

Unnoticed in what sense? I see something. So what do you mean?

I meant that NASA would have detected it well before it entered our atmosphere.By the time it's visible to the naked eye, it should have shown up to instruments for hours if not days.

Best not report it to the government. (It is probably one of their own craft anyway.) Nor to a ufo group. Simply write a report about it and put it out on the internet.

I think they've been noticed.... There's many documented sightings/visitations. Although I tend to agree with Rule----Most of them are ours. I think we have some incredibly top-secret and stealthy new very hi-performance aircraft. I think we have aircraft not known to the general populace that can ''seemingly'' disappear.....and I'm not talking about just on a radar screen.

I thought I saw a UFO once but it turns out it was only the table lampshade reflected in the window, I was excited when I thought I saw little green men walking away from it but then wondered why they were dressed as if they were fighting in WW2.

You should have reported it as a sighting anyway - would have been more authentic than your competitors.

To the OP: wave them in for a cup of tea.

Yes take pictures. I don't know if reporting it will do anything, but if you do, at least you can corroborate the time if it ever comes to that. Taking pictures, try to take them so that you have something in the foreground that can help someone authenticating the picture figure out how far away and what size the object is. I've only seen what I thought was a UFO one time, and did not have time to get a picture. The whole thing only lasted about a minute, but it appeared that a smaller object was chasing a larger one. They moved around in the sky for a little while and then were gone. *shrug*

BUT I did live in an area for a time in which black helicopters were seen often. I KNOW those are real. We lived in an area where there was a reputed secret military base in the rural mountains nearby. We used to have these helicopters fly over at least once a month. I recall when the Oklahoma City bombing occurred, we saw a particularly large group of them come through. We were in an area where there were a lot of helicopter flights. We would see tour copters and a hospital copter. Not only could we see the difference in these (they were black with no markings at all, and larger than traffic/tour/medical choppers, but not as large as military choppers) but there was also a difference in the sound. Once we moved out of that area we didn't see them anymore.

quite frankly I do---I am not so arrogant as to think they are not smarter than we are or have created means of travel etc better than we are or that they even look like we do--we evolved based on earth and what it provides--I am sure others could have developed the same way.

Which is why they don't hang around......would you entertain a crowd getting by with knives, forks and napkins, if you'd transcended earthly cuttlery and evolved to a higher state of consumption?

My old place was under the flight path of a tiny airport.  Some days I minded the noise....silly me, I even complained about it on the official 2000 census form. :-)   ANyhow- I was told the fed flies in prisoners  thru it.  Maybe 3 prisens are 20 minutes to an hour away.

The new planes are surprisingly quiet.

As to UFOs to the OP....   maybe they heard about some big sale at the mall????   :-D

I believe in Unidentified flying objects.  I spent a good chunk of my pre adult years researching this.
Seen one once.  The military base in town told me it was a UFO.  Not exactly from another planet but a UFO never the less.

Astronauts have seen them while in space.  Who am I to argue with their logic?

i think we get too caught up in the term UFO.  all it means is unidentified.  i can see a blinking light in the sky at night and not know what the hell it is, and still know its not some alien spacecraft coming to investigate life on earth.

now, do i believe that there may be intelligent life on other planets?  yes.  as big as the cosmos is, its kind of silly to think we are the only intelligent life out there.  could they also have space exploration?  why not?  do i believe we're the cosmic diner by the side of the road and some big attraction?  not likely.

then again i also believe in dragons, so what do i know?
