I am curious, it seems that every male crossdresser, transvestite, and the likes are allowed to use the term 'transgendered' This only distracts from the true transgendered and hampers our search.  Should those who are not true transgendered be required to use there actuall gender on collarme?

Personally I would like to agrue that there should ever be a 'gender' section. Gender is not actually the same thing as sex (m/f) so i dont think there should be a choice of gender thing at all. If there is then im sorry to say but there is no such thing as true gender let alone true transgender.

Straight no longer means straight anymore. Look at the porn ads saying, "Straight men who like cock." Uh, so what do they call the men who only like pussy?

Confused????    hahahahahahaha

hahaaaaaaaaa! Confused? Maybe I think so. Confused about anal intercourse leading to leakage of fecal material, or just having fecal matter spread all around the sheets, door nobs, etc. Confused about anal traumas that expose both anal sex partners to blood, organisms in feces and a mixing of bodily fluids. Unlike the vagina which has natural lubricants and is supported by a network of muscles. Confused or maybe just turned off about infections more easily caught because of the intestine have only a singer lays of cells separating it from highly vascular tissue (blood) and the intestine not being able to endure friction from cock penetration. Confused or not interested? Either or, what do you call men who don't like anal sex but do like pussy-cock sex?

EDITED:  to remove some of the snarkyness - I had  shower and thought better if it...

Sounds like behind your frustration with the search features of CM, you are espousing a "one-twue-way" theory of being transgendered.   Having a pre-post OP category would be handy for searching, but I am going to take issue with your definitions and use of absolute terms to define transgender.

There are many out there, like myself, who have decided to not go the route of sexual reassignment, but who still identify deeply as transgendered.   Starting an "us vs. them" argument over what people choose to call what they identify themselves simply makes an already complex issue more complex...and it dilutes the discussion, IMO.

Hmmm can I ask how any of that has bog all to do with anything really? No one was asking anyones opinion on anal sex it was about how sexuality and gender etc are fluid and complex, nothing to do with vascular tissue.

Hello to all,
I am curious, it seems that every male crossdresser, transvestite, and the likes are allowed to use the term 'transgendered' This only distracts from the true transgendered and hampers our search.  Should those who are not true transgendered be required to use there actuall gender on collarme?

Also, if this is to continue shouldnt the true transgendered be allowed to use their saught gender on their profile?  I know that this will cause banter, what defines gender? that is not my question though.  We will all have our own ideas...

If so, at what point should I, a pre opp transgendered person be allowed to change my profile. Bare in mind this only applies to true transgendered...

Kayla

While I empathise with your concern, you use the phrases "allowed" and "required" and that concerns me. Who do you feel should police these offenders and how? What right do you, or I, have to determine who is using the term correctly or to enforce it?

Without having a university degree, I'd have to call them human beings.

If collarme were to allow a 'Cossdresser" option or other options I believe that would take away many of my issues.  Clearly there is no way to deter people who want to lie, I believe that is what 99% of the people on here do, but wouldnt it upset you if you searched for a male and many of the results were for feamles that had no intention of being male, but just thought it sounded better?

No there isnt any options other than male, female, or transgendered.    If you were to search for somebody who had taken steps in being of the opposite gender and only found people who dressed in the opposite gender with no goal or desire to become the opposite gender then you will most likely stop looking for transgendered, or be opposed to transgendered due to your past searching.  I do not wish to choose, but to have the options for those who are true in who and what they are.

Kayla

What makes a woman? is it different from what makes a female? are sex organs the most important thing?

Perhaps my use of ill fitting words was a mistake on my part.   I persume you understand my issue regardless.  And we should all be the ones enforceing these concerns.

Well, I guess I still expect truth in advertisment, truth in our daily lives, and doing what is right.  But it seems that I am on my own here.

See now there is that "one-twue-way" thing again.  It is elitist, narrow minded, and implies that others are somehow inferior or wrong.  I believe I am being totally true to who and what I am.  I am transgendered and I chose to not go through sexual reassignment.  That decision did not suddenly make me non-transgendered - a very large part of me identifies as female.  I just choose to express it in a different way.

If I can steal a line from the Christians - there must be many paths to so great a truth

Good luck in your very narrow search...

So then what am I?  I ceartinly dont match 99% of those who consider themselves transgendered..  My concern is those who make no effort to be the opposite gender.  What are they then?  I believe making the attepmt with the right intentions is what defines transgendered from others

It seems that there is a missunderstanding.  You have made a attempt, you are not merly wearing clothes of the opposite gender for fun.  I would consider you transgendered
Through all my life I have never been narrow minded, but when what I say is missunderstood, well then I guess I am.

Exactly......  Thanks for joining the conversation....  This is for those with NO INTENTIONS OF CHANGING THEIR GENDER, FOR THOSE WHO DRESS IN CLOTHES OF THE OPPOSITE GENDER FOR FUN

We could go with human... sub-human.. alien... normal... non-normal, and these things might be fitting too.  This is a free site that is considered the best by many of us and if there is an imperfect system... such as in life... what's the big deal?  Are we not adults who can communicate in a number of ways to clear things up?

Hell... we can't even agree what is what... who fits what... so how could there be a system that worked?  I am going with human being... some I might like and some I might not.  Works for me.
