...and working hard sometimes still doesn't work.Due to a variety of circumstances we decided to stop our journey together and move on seperately again. Nevertheless,I am glad that I met him and still think that he is a great guy :o) my flight goes back tomorrow,hope I won't end up at the disaster airports again.

I am so sorry to hear this ..I know you were both looking forward to the journey together. It is perhaps good that you have both found out early that  the journey was not to be...still I know that it hurts and is hard to face that disappointment.

Travel safely and will ease towards home again and let us know that you have gotten there in one piece.

Thanks Linna  am happily back home now...or well, almost happy as my heating isn't working (again)  (this time it shows another error message then last time and I don't know how to fix that *sigh* I hope my plumber will answer his phone tomorrow as it is bloody cold...) with my toronto flight I had luck, because another airline who was meant to fly 2 hours before us to London had 5 hours delay...and they had to keep telling those passengers that they won't get on our flight as we were already overbooked...am just glad to be back  Now I have the weekend to sort out myself here and then on monday I will call my agencies to request work to get some money in...am also considering to go for one week on holiday in january..."me-time". Will see

dearest S,

glad to know you are home safe and with not as much travel hassles as on the way to Canada. my heart broke for you and your disappointments that you found awaiting you in Canada. i know you are strong and will see your way through. lessons learned are never wasted...if i may suggest soemthing, don't do the blame game....see your part in all of it and simply do not repeat it ever again..
S, how did the ride home from the airport go?

I don't blame him, I just see that he is very different in person. But also, I wouldn't do anything else any different, because that's how I am. It might be a waste of effort at times, but that's me. Either it meets the right person, or not. simple.I am not stepping down on my values, nor am I starting off something with a too sceptical or over critical perspective, as then there is in my view no point to meet in the first place. He is still a great guy in my view, but it was his choice not to sort certain things out, therefore his loss and I hope he will do well.

I don't think reaching out for that experience and taking a chance on meeting someone special is ever a waste of effort.   I traveled from Australia to the US to meet someone (who didn't show) ...and do you know what....I would do it again ....I had the most blissful month over there.  I hope that you never lose your 'reach out and grab life with both hands' attitude.

I'm sorry that things didn't work out, but I am so admiring and envious that you took the chance!!  Willingess to be open to new experiences, even disappointing ones, is what keeps life interesting.

{hugs}

Thanks, thats what I mean and I try not to ever lose that attitude. Loss of money can always be fixed and money never meant much to me as on a personal level I am not a person who needs much (financially). Therefore that does not battle me that much. And I am far away from loosing out on being like that

thanks LadyHibiscus

I am fine and my cats appreciated that I got back 3 weeks earlier and even managed to fix my heating problem  (as my heating was turned on on a too low level for many days, that seemed to have caused the error message and after switching it off and turning the heat higher it is doing fine now )

Also still might go off for a week or two in my remaining days off...am in some contacts *lol* and have no intensions to waste my remaining time off with just attending work unexpectedly *lol*

Hey there Phoenix, this reminds me of something I thought of a few months back..

"When you leap often enough and keep falling, what keeps you coming back to that precipice? What makes you take that leap again and again?"

We all fall now and then, it's the getting up and continuing on thats part of the journey. Glad to see you're making the most of what you have.
