Due to a huge fight with Daddy that kept us up till 4 am  the day of class, and I felt like shit , I Called off to reschedule,  and Mr Boyd,  said I need to come in by Friday* which is TODAY and I got the message at 9 pm at night so it's to late* Because next week the school is on vacation for the holiday and I won't see him for like a week or two.

If you don't come in at least once a week you could loose your spot in the independant study program, and if you do loose it you have to start all over again. Back to square one, orientation and the promptitude and placement test, not to mention the lost time of starting over.

*running around in circles emotionally* ack ack really fucking ack. I hope I can see him on Monday, but probably not cause Monday is 4 days before Christmas and school's probably out.

Ack ack ack I hope I won't loose my spot, I mean it's not a horrendous deal to loose your spot, and it is pretty easy to go back in, provided the next orientation isn't months off from now.  but it does make you look irresponcible in your teachers eyes and it is a hassle, and just REALLY REALLY ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, you WERE irresponsible.  You participated in an argument that kept you up until 4 am on a school day.  And then, knowing you had to go in at least once a week, you didn't do that either.

Planning on coming in and actually coming in are two incredibly different things.  The one actually requires follow through.  We all have to live with the consequences of our actions or inactions.  You have dealt yourself the hand you have been given.

I am gonna echo the ladies above.  If you lose your spot, then start over.  There are students all over the world that have all kinda incidents happen and still manage to schlep their bodies in.  And if the policy is come in once a week, what will Monday accomplish?  If they still let you stay, great!  Work hard, educate yourself, make the world a better place.  If you lose it, try again till you get it right.  But dont for a minute use something like that as an excuse to your teachers face.  Thats just begging for the shit covered end of the stick.

You MAY be lucky enough that he is in his office finishing things before the holiday, but don't count on it. All you can do is check and if not accept the consequences.

Yes. I may be lucky enough, or he may check his voicemail between now and then two weeks it'll be before I return.

Mr Boyd is actually pretty cool about you begging off of school for personal off days  if you don't do it all the time and are normally a very reliable student. And I am usually very very reliable.
