Well the idea of not allowing multiple profiles from the same IP address would certainly not be workable. How many people here are in a relationship and they both have profiles on CM? I know we do. Master has his own and I have mine.

It is true that this is a site for people with similar interests but that does not make the mail I recieve "unsolicited". My profile clearly states that I am a slave and owned. Any mail I get from male subs or other Doms trying to tell me that Master is no good for me is unsolicited and does not deserve a response. If others see that as rude then they really need to wake up. You yourself samboct have said that mail from Nigeria does not deserve a response and you delete it so therefore you are being impolite by your terms.

Actually I respond to most emails just because I am curious about people. However, this is not a guarantee I am not cranky when answering. I hate one-liners or you must im me at ----@yahoo. I detest misspelled words and cockshots.

I did read FWPolyHouse's profile and it would take a very tolerant female to enter that household. I too arched an eyebrow at the vampire mention and the religion lecture. Since everyone in the household is bi and poly, maybe there should be some reassurances about safety and D&D free. There is such a thing as laying your cards on the table but......too much information upfront can be a bad thing too.

I don't believe you are running across a rude problem. People just don't want to outright reject you so they are trying NOT to be rude by just not replying.

How does the OP feel about junk mail? It is unsolicitated and a waste of time. I wonder if he feels compelled to answer every piece of junk mail he receives.

When I was using my old profile, it stated that I did not want to recieve mail from men. I got mail from them anyway. Now that I am using this profile, I have no note and no pics. I still get an occasional email, but nothing like I used to get. Sometimes I think they send mail just because they were told not to.

I think my basic premise has been lost in all the rhetoric. I have from the beginning said polite messages should be answered if read… if not… it’s rude.

If you say no men in your profile then you are not rude by deleting messages. If a message is rude then don’t answer. If a message does not give you respect…then don’t answer.

BUT

If it is polite and thoughtful why not answer if only with a not interested.

I believe the OP is over reacting…I would not complain publicly because someone did not answer a message…But I would still think less of that person for their lack of manners.

But personally I could give a damn about any message answered or not.
