I have to second this. I don't think confronting this person is a good idea. Hiring a professional service to check is an excellent idea. (And make the arrangements for this on a public phone at a restaurant and request that they do not contact any of the lines you suspect of being tapped.) I would not want to take a chance with my personal safety - even if they do nothing I wouldn't want to risk it. I would not only suggest you change all of your locks, any codes to your place, email, computers etc. but then depending on what you find that you do press charges/file a complaint. At least in the United States, this would help establish a legal case towards orders of protection. Having the professional service means that their technician can be put under oath as to what they find and what their credentials are. Reporting to the police means there is a formal record of this infringement and then if there is any escalation of his behavior it can be a lot easier to get an order of protection and other measures from a judge. Keiko quote:
ORIGINAL: Lockit I would not confront a man that was doing this. I would be preparing to protect myself and anyone he knows and finding a professional to find what is there. It might be hard to prove he did it, but the professional can prove it was there and would help in any legal setting. (protective orders) But I would be gone. Why take a chance? If he believes he has a right to do this and he does it... what kind of mind or emotions are you dealing with? You don't want to get legal? Well that is always an option, but if you confront him and he knows it is illegal and he is caught or thinks he is... that is when things can get real interesting and... dangerous. This isn't kink and if someone claims it is... it isn't with her permission or agreement. That is criminal and dangerous. If you don't believe me... google some domestic abuse data and how many die every day. That isn't a nosy dominant...
