Naahh, not a surprise. It's been going on since, ohhh......1492. What would be a surprise would be seeing more of them getting killed at the same pace they are killing unarmed people. What goes around comes around eventually.

ya know untill all of you complainers put on a uniform and go out there and risk your lives doing what the cops do  shut up  unless your willing to put your life on the line you really dont have a leg to stand on. your just flapping your gums to hear yourself talk.  hope you never have to call the cops, god knows they are beneath you, could you humble yourselves enough to deal with them?       your all a sorry lot grow the hell up.

I can't quite agree with that logic - or lack thereof. They took the job knowing that there would be danger. They wear a gun and have a responsibility to serve the public.

These were transit cops. A young person was shot and killed for going out on New Year's Eve, using the Bay Area Rapid Transit system and getting foolish. It wasn't a case of he needed killin'.

I work with young people and this is not unusual behavior. There was no justifiable reason to shot and kill this young man in the situation that is very clearly depicted in the videos. Abuse of power is what I saw.

[image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m21.gif[/image]i believe we give the system a chance to work before rioting.  if the officer is found guilty of committing the crime he shall be punished.  if this crime goes unpunished then we have a whole different scenario.

hahaha...if a jury of his peers convicts him ok...otherwise we'll destroy property and commit violence.

*That* sentiment is the exact reason every non felon man and woman should carry a firearm.

So in essence, society might as well revert back to a vigilante mentality that was predominant less than a hundred years ago? Bah....history has shown that vigilante justice never solved a damn thing, just added fuel tot he fire so to speak.

Ummm...no... I quite clearly said able bodied people should protect themselves from people that harbor that mentality. Or were you responding to the previous poster ?

I take it you wear this uniform and therefore are policing the forums and any and all opinions.
Not going to have a font war with you. Got my badge and gun and that works just fine.
