The Magic Christian

This clever play was made into a movie:

"Hmmm. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads. Heads."

YES, your turn MM.

[Peter Sellers is one of my favorites.]

Need a hint?

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead  (a couple of minor characters from the play Hamlet)

Musicmystery -> RE: What movie is this quote from? (8/7/2009 7:37:07 PM)

Yes. They keep flipping coins, always coming up heads. They play a rhetoric game--but Hamlet always wins (with the same lines from Shakespeare's play).

It's hilarious. Your turn.

"He even took the gramophone on safari. Three rifles, supplies for a month, and Mozart."

Out of Africa

OK, next one...

*: Joanna is a very unhappy woman and it took a lot of courage to walk out this door.
*: How much courage does it take to walk out on your kid?

(you didn't give me a chance to tell you that it is correct and it is your turn)

Kramer vs Kramer

Musicmystery -> RE: What movie is this quote from? (8/7/2009 7:55:40 PM)

Sorry about that.

Kramer vs Kramer

Musicmystery -> RE: What movie is this quote from? (8/7/2009 7:59:24 PM)

Yup.

This game is too easy with the Internet.

Your turn.

fluffypet61 -> RE: What movie is this quote from? (8/7/2009 8:09:16 PM)

"Never apologize"

Musicmystery -> RE: What movie is this quote from? (8/7/2009 8:23:02 PM)

Movie of the same title, I suspect (2007).

But it's such a common phrase, I'm sure it's in several films over the decades.

fluffypet61 -> RE: What movie is this quote from? (8/7/2009 8:24:33 PM)

i got it from watching the trailer for a movie...not 2007.

Musicmystery -> RE: What movie is this quote from? (8/7/2009 8:27:39 PM)

I'm picturing Dustin Hoffman, with a gentle smile and a slight shake of the head.

It's also a famous real life John Wayne quote, and advice from Lawrence Olivier.

Again, it's just too common a phrase.

fluffypet61 -> RE: What movie is this quote from? (8/7/2009 8:32:39 PM)

Another quote from the same movie -

"What is it you really like to do?" "Eat"

Musicmystery -> RE: What movie is this quote from? (8/7/2009 8:33:47 PM)

Julie and Julia.

fluffypet61 -> RE: What movie is this quote from? (8/7/2009 8:35:11 PM)

Yes.  Your turn.

Musicmystery -> RE: What movie is this quote from? (8/7/2009 8:41:08 PM)

"If he's the best with the gun and the knife, with whom does he compete?"
"Himself."
