Ahhh,....the Carnival's comming to town, watch your wallets!
"Hey Rube!"
Aileen, Aileen, Aileen, I wouldn't pay $500 to see Willy Nelson.
Hey, wasn't Greg Allmon in a "Depends" commercial?
He'd make Keith Richards look healthy!
You understand that "Kief" has carefully cultivated that image over the years, and that one doesn't learn to play axe like he can, with 20 or 30 different tunings (like the good ole' "dropped D"), by staying fucked up all the time, right?

Hippie, I really don't know never having been a fan of the Rolling Stones.
The group "Cream" and Eric Clapton was more to my liking.
I don't know if I'd want to use heroin to convey an "image."
Once you get involved with that crap you don't control it, it controls you.
Clapton had an alchohol problem and I seriously doubt it helped his playing or "image."
Evidently he's done something about it and it no longer controls his life.
But yes, I do see your point somewhat, when he's not drinking there's no-one better!
I also liked Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Eric Clapton said of Stevie Ray; "Where was I when he was taking lessons?"

Because the market will support the 3 figure ticket prices.  The demographic that attends Classic Rock concerts is usually more affulent than the one that shows up at gutter punk and emo concerts in dive bars and hippy cafe's.  Have a great time when you go.

When rock concert tickets become as pricey as opera tickets, you know that the spirit of rock 'n roll is well and truly dead.

God save the Queen  .

Clearly you've never been to an Allman Brothers concert.

At least you have a chance at getting good tickets for the money instead of having some scalper sell it to a guy on a corporate expense account
who is there for business purposes more than the entertainment. As was said earlier, they sell tickets at that price because that's what the market
can bear....Enjoy!!

Heh, I haven't had that issue, but I did pay maybe 75 bucks for a couple of tool tickets. Thank god, most of the bands we are inclined to go see don't have massive popularity (No way I could afford a 500 seat, ha) ... plus you can always buy a couple of back row tix and fight your way up front.
