I think the situation sucks, but I don't see an end in sight any time soon.

I also don't see the point in comparing casualties. Losing more people in a conflict does not put you on the right side. Although after the losses you would think they would stop firing the missiles. Maybe they are hoping that Israel kills a whole lot of civillians and the ones supporting Israell will flip over and start supporting them instead.

Wow, I hadn't realized that the Palastinians were native to the land. So they are just like the our natives...interesting. So how long exactly do you have to be somewhere to become a native?

And speaking of natives...I didn't realize that we killed them all. good think cause I would hate to see them rise up and start lobbing rockets at us.

What an informative post...I wouldn't worry about anyone jumping down your throat though, my guess is they are laughing too hard to bother.

I tried to think of the post as intelligent, but I still can't get past those natives. How long have they been there again?

Note: I am refering to the Palestine natives...not the ones we wiped out in the US. Oh and speaking of natives, if we killed them all, who is living ont the reservations?

Please explain what you mean by "Eurotrash" I only know one way to interpret this term and I'm kind of hoping it is not the interpretation you will give.

Also , there are Jew haters in Europe (as indeed there are in other continents) and those I've come across seemed to be very resolute.They are,however,thankfully a very small and shallow minded minority.

I don't see how criticizing the Israeli government and their military is anti-semetic.  It's nonsense, and such baseless accusations only detract from the argument.

There was a good interview with Jeremy Greenstock in the BBC today.  He's been working to resolve this issue since leaving Iraq and stated quite clearly that it is over-simplistic to assume that every Hamas member or supporter thinks like this.  I think he also said that this charter was never adopted and the author was separated from the organisation.  To use a US-centred analogy - at which I claim no expertise; It's a bit like thinking that every Christian Republican is pro-life. Hamas wants a two state solution - that means they expect Israel to be around, no?It only serves to obscure real anti semitism when people blindly hurl the term at everyone who disagrees with the actions of Israel.  I say the same to black people and their supporters who see racism at every set-back. Is there an over-compensation issue here?   At least respond with an argument and not simply an accusation.The European left - and others - who deplore Israel's apparent war crimes do have a tendency for siding with the underdog.  They sided  with Israel in 67, after all.   But they haven't suddenly become anti semitic, it's just a natural response to the overwhelming use of brute force, the idea that might makes right.  The IDF are shelling schools, hospitals and known civilian refuges.  Why not let the media into Gaza?    .
