I don't have that problem.

Google my user name... go ahead and try. You'll go through a lot of pages before anything to do with my collarme account pops up!

In fairness I had to put in 'sanity' and 'collarme' to find it.

1) Hide your profile on this site.

2) Don't post a picture.

Voila! Done.

The message boards are indexed too. A search will pull up links to your posts.

COOL!!!
No pushing and shoving ladies!

Hmmm, I just went to Yahoo's front page and "Popeye" is in the top ten searches for today!
I'd better go down to the drug store and stock up on "RoughRiders!"

Whoa... thanks Raechard, that's really some good detective work on your part. I remember that thread! I didn't know poor farglebargle was so, um, well - you know, that he went and posted that thread on digg.

What a uh... hmm. What a guy.

"CM isn't here to 'police' you."

They wouldn't have to police me if they built the site responsibly. Like I said, no other site I've been on has showed up in the google search engine. It's not a difficult task to for a web developer to keep out of search engines.

"If you aren't out then use the net responsibly.  Be responsible for yourself and do not lay it on the sites doorstep."

I agree that I bear partial responsibility, but since I don't have this problem on any other site, I'm not taking full responsibility.

I've hidden my profile and deleted my photos. I'll probably delete my profile next. I just think it's a waste because all of it is perfectly avoidable with simple design modifications.  Isn't it just two lines of code to keep search engines from crawling and indexing your content?  I believe that's why I never had this problem elsewhere.

Since you are so upset with the way Collarme is set-up, why don't you ask for your membership fee refunded and use that money to start your own website written just the way you want it?

I prefer to be myself and for that reason it does not worry me if anyone comes across me here, for unrelated reasons I have endured secrecy and had to be discreet in the past, I will avoid being subject to that in the future.
I think that if you are not comfortable, you should exit and go elsewhere, some of us prefer to be able to represent the positive side of our lives instead of allowing ignorance and bigotry to be inflicted on us by hiding.

What you haven’t paid yet? Naughty naughty.

All cheques should be made payable to Raechard and sent to P.O. Box 1 which is just to the left of P.O. Box 2.
