Obama's record-breaking $600 million campaign was paid for, in large part, by the financial industry. He was put in place to keep order among the newly impoverished hoi-polloi so that they--we--won't burn stuff while the financiers continue looting the treasury, which they began doing on the watch of their other friend Dubya.

What's your source for this?

Eh...cut 'em some slack....whe's the last time you saw "hoi-polloi" used in a sentence?[;)]

I'm not angry.  I am actually amused at the ridiculous spectacle I have been witnessing today.  I really didn't think that the "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow" sing-a-long from Clinton's inauguration could be topped on my sickenly gagging scale of mass displays of sappy, sheep like behavior.  But I was horribly wrong.

I don't know.

Picture a funny little mustache on Dubya and there's a remarkable resemblance to Der Fuhrer.

Heil Bush!

Well that joke would even get you heckled at a DNC inauguration after-party.  [8|]

What makes you think it was a joke?

You raised the comparison, I was only agreeing.  [sm=insane.gif]

Ummm...Obama poops, burps and farts just like you and....I would say me, but I don't do those things.  [:)]
He's not a God.  He will fuck up just like every other politician.  He owes too much to too many people to do the right thing.  It just won't happen.  He will sell the American people down the river.
Damn...full of cliches tonight.  I must be frustrated....friggin Wind.

I agree 200%. He's not the messiah, or the salvation of the Republic. He'll screw his promises, pander to those with the most dinero. Underwhelmed and tired of the crap. I am glad we transfer power peacefully, but this boss is the same as the last boss.

I puked in my mouth a few times at the student center watching the standing ovations over a very vague and in my opinion mediocre speech. Plus I am mad that SVU isn't on tonight because of the sap, lovefest, nut kissing being beamed around.

Hysterical paranoia, I believe.

Argh! Then why rain on Mia's parade, aye?

All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way....i figured i'd go along with your "messiah" theme.  i can see your point slaveboy...but don't worry, all this joy and happiness and concern for one's fellow man can't possibly have a long shelf life.

kittin, they can't.
Would you expect those that did not support him to be happy?

Dance with me!

[:D]
I don't expect to ever be this happy to see another President elected.
It is time to be happy!!!!!!!!!

sigh
I was hoping the Obama frenzy would help the stock market, not sink it.
I'm much more concerned with the state of the economy than I ever will be with how many balls are attended or which designer the First Lady chooses or the First Dog's name/pedigree.
So, I guess I'm not Obamarized, and I'm cool with that.

And we've managed to conclude this before his first full day in office.

So much for giving someone an opportunity to succeed.

Still not Obamarized, but he made me proud at the Commander in Chiefs Ball. [:D]

Didn't care for Mrs Obama's dress.[&:] Loved the day one tho.
Sorry, Katy. I am all about the Balls and fashion tonight.

No kidding?

Do you mean to say that certain businesses actually contribute to political campaigns that they believe will benefit them?

Well, stop the presses and let's roll out a special edition to alert the people.
