Worthless, obviously only to you, which is completely worthless to me, and to colouredin. Now, have you quite finished with your playground antics ?

Which is why I used facts, instead of relying on opinion. ;)

Before trying to slog through whatever snarkfest probably followed the OP.......I will answer.

No, I am not Obamarized. I am tentatively hopeful. It takes alot more than one person to change anything like the magnitude of mess we've collectively, made of this country. Anyone that thinks the election of one official is going to do it, is a fool. I hope like hell he is able to just keep his head above water.

I figure if he can avoid fucking us up any more, keep 1/3 of his campaign promises, and improve our international image, he's doing pretty good. Time will tell.

Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, I voted for the guy. I just think that wanting the job, THINKING you can do the job, has got to be quite different than HAVING the job.

And now, Tigresse, you should read through the thread: it's not as entertaining as an inaugural ball though

Any one else tired of hearing a newscaster say, he is our first African American President. I think we know that. It reminds me of Tiger Woods, they are both multi racial, and their other race is garbage to the news world.

Obamas speech yesterday was very good, a matter of fact, we heard it before, it sounded like he was still on the campaign trail. I hope he is as good a president as he is a speech giver.

Greetings..

I am not Obama anything but I wish him well in trying to deal with the issues America has on its plate.

What amazes me is how easily Americans are quick to find blame and a scape goat but never look at themselves as part of the problem nor the solution.

I don't know.  I'm still wondering whose grandmother they swiped the shoes from.

That is pretty melodramatic. Looking at what is ahead, you are likely to see Obama preside with more centrist, than leftist policies.

I know many people that feel this way, and I do hope that Obama uses this new found trust and hope wisely. Maybe seeing some harsh things in my life, politically, business and personal, has turned me into a pessimist or something. I don't know but I just find it strange that people are loopy over him. Almost like Obama was King of this country (similar to how people get loopy over royalty).

I'm not "worshipping' Obama/.... but as I've said in a couple of threads already...  I feel a sense of hope and optimism that I have NOT EVER felt in all the years I've been eligible to vote.

And based on what I've seen and heard, I'm NOT the only one who feels that way.

He'll doubtless make errors. He is only human.  But the fact that a large portion of the population seems to be feeling energized and hopeful with his election makes me think that some good change is in the air...

Well, as much as I would love to make a long, intelligent addition to this/these post/s, I really can't.  All I can say is "Ditto."

And that one word you used a couple of times, that strikes me a lot, and I've said the same thing a lot.  "Hope."  You can see it in peoples eyes again, it's something I've seen very little of for quite a long time.

Admittedly though, I am exhausted today.  Was up at 5am to start watching the coverage yesterday, and was up late partying. ;)

I used to worship her but then I learnt about her occult activities.

Now I am preying to the science gods for her soul instead.
