ORIGINAL: sunshinemiss Hey there folks, Wanna feel good being naked? I found many years ago that posing for artists is a great way to get over it. They don't really see you as "that fat girl" or that "pasty skinny guy". They see you as a series of angles and curves. It really takes the sting out of stuff. well wishes, sunshine p.s. welcome back domiguy. Did you ever get to see the pictures though, artists and their interpretations. Which can be both good and bad depending on the artist and their interpretation. I got a life sculpting class in a few weeks, in my favourite medium; mud. Let's see what kind of mess I can interpret. Am working upto appearing on the other side of the easel, I have been asked, just not decided yet. Oh heavens yes I've seen many of the outcomes, Aneirin. Pictures, paintings, sculptures, etc. Heck I am even on a tarot deck! Once I opened a magazing and there I was! whoa! That surprised me because I didn't know the pic had been sold. I've been a naked Mother Earth in ritual, an abused woman in a performance art piece, and a piece of furniture at a kinky party. I have come to love love love my body (though I'm not the least bit what folks would call attractive). Sometimes the artist really surprises me with what they do, but generally speaking, they show the beauty that eminates from me in their work. I think it's a mixture of the woman I am and their ability as an artist. The one time that it didn't work out well was when I posed in Asia. The guy was a painter and just didn't know what to do with my body... It was so much bigger than the sub-zero size women there. But it was a positive experience in educating him about us! As a woman, it may be different than it would be as a man since I don't have to worry about being a grower, but all in all, I highly recommend it! Well wishes, sunshine
