What is difficult is to "mimic" the exact flavor of ass.

YHMA... many things have small amounts of garlic in them...they are just labelled spices or natural flavors.

I think to duplicate a nacho one you might want to add a bit of MILD chilli powder to the beef when you cook it.

Ah ha!!! We just have to smash em first! Holly, you are the best!

And, YHMA, almost everything I cook that isn't a sweet has a certain amount of garlic in it. Whether it is a soup or a casserole. The key is, how much.

HA!

beth's still talking about the Oreo cookie desert we had in Vegas at the RUB BBQ at the Rio Casino. They were amazing! Even better was the deep fried smoked bacon chucks appetizer. (You can't believe how great that was!) Once again we were at the 'rowdy' table. It was great fun and beth even got a free RUB BBQ tee-shirt from the manager with 'Nice Rack' printed on the back. But that's a story for another day...

We should make the Oreos for our Superbowl party!

Can I switch out cream of mushroom for cream of chicken, since I don't like mushrooms nor cream of mushroom soup?

I guess you can try. I don't know how the flavors will taste together. I don't think the Sauces will taste good with a chicjken base, could be wrong tho.
The two Seasoning sauces cover up the Cr. Of Mush. soup flavor . I do not like Creme of Mush Soup, either.

Jotting down RUB BBQ for my next trip to Vegas. The deep fried smoked bacon made it a " must go to".

Yes, bacon is just one of those things........I don't care how bad it is for me, I am always going to eat it.

My sister introduced me to a yummy.

Slice fresh jalapenos in half, mix some softened cream cheese with some onion and garlic powder, place in jalapeno halves, then wrap each in 1/2 slice of bacon and bake......heaven

So you could try a smaller batch of recipe for the mix they have online... the powdered milk  and corn starch will replicate the consistency of the hamburger helper sauce.

Promise this is the last thread hijack, but it will give you an idea of how good the food was.

Before going, beth said she had lost 3 pounds through all the dancing, and walking around we had done in Vegas for three days up to going to the Rub. After eating there, the next morning she said she was up 2 pounds for the trip!

Oh yeah - it's on the must go list for the next trip. Wish we could get them to deliver those bacon chucks to LA for Sunday.

No doubt!  That sounds godly!
If there's anything that I will lay waste to as quickly and with as much passion as I do buffalo wings, it's jalapeno poppers.  Add bacon, and it's just a win win win situation!

I don't mind garlic, but if you're going for authentic, and the recipe calls for garlic, and it's not authentic to the original, that's where I wouldn't want it in my meal.

But as someone already said  powdered garlic is in there anyway.,

FR:

I'll give you a quick bachelor recipe for a hamburger steak meal I make all the time.  Go get yourself some brown gravy mix.  I prefer McCormicks, but you choose.  Now make some hamburger patties, and fry them bad boys in a skillet (all my skillets are iron, but use what you got.).  After the patties are done, take 'em out.  Leave the grease in the pan.  Follow the directions on the brown gravy mix, but add it to the hamburger grease.  When the gravy starts bubbling, put your hamburger patties back in.  Cover it and set the heat to low.  Leave it be for about 10 minutes.

You can serve this with mashed potatoes, fries, or hashbrowns.  I prefer hashbrowns, which are simple to make.  Peel some potatoes, grate them, and then fry them in a little bit of oil over medium/medium-high heat.  It takes awhile to cook hashbrowns, so be patient.  Make sure your heat isn't too high, and stir them constantly.  After they're done, add them to the plate and cover them with your gravy.  I find that peas make the best accompianment to this meal.  Enjoy.

I would  use oregano, cumin, fennel and garlic powder with salt and pepper, diced onions and diced bell peppers. Mix all the above and some ground breakfast sausage in your ground beef and brown until it starts to carmelize. Drain the fat. Then add in your cooked pasta and more of the above seasonings. Add brown gravy mix or mushroom soup on top
