Males traditionally get women through achievement. Men know their mating chances and opportunity to spread their genes increase through being resourceful, strongest, and even being the richest. If males want to be given the opportunity to spread their genes, they have to know they need to signal to women that their genes were the fittest and that they would be the best providers.

You know, LunaVenus, your post pattern isn't one of a woman who has a lot of money. The millionaires I've dated have been pretty much unconcerned about finances. Perhaps the millionaires you have dated behaved differently. I've never dated a man, so I wouldn't know about that. However, if dollars and cents are sticking in your craw that much, you might consider developing a hobby that is more within your means.
