This thread will not die. It may take a brief rest, for the next few weeks. Or perhaps we can meet here to gush about our guys. And we'll need to check in at the end of the nfc championship game. I'm sort of hoping we get Seattle because Carolina scares me, they go all hyper and enthusiastic and seem slightly manic. And that can only lead to trouble.

Seattle won't be able to run on us. I think the Steelers will physically dominate them. They are a soft team.

Well, I thought the nfc game would be much closer. I thought Carolina would do much better, strange. I feared them for the Super Bowl, thinking that's who'd we get. So it's all good.

That is exactly how we want you thinking. Just like the bozos at Sports Illustrated, and the talking-heads on FOX sports, the hapless Seahawks have no chance. Like everyone else, forget that we have a two time Probowl QB, the league MVP running back, the highest scoring offense in the league, the most sacks in the NFL, the best offensive line in the league, the most underrated receiving corp in the league, and a coach that has actually won the Superbowl before. We are not a threat to the Steelers. Trust me, thinking this, you will sleep a whole lot better the next two weeks.

Congrats, katy on your Steelers win yesterday Great game, albeit pretty one sided. Pat's fan here.
< ya I know, I know.> Anyway... do you ever post on the Steelers message board ? I am a reg there when Pats play Pitt and drop in thru out the season to banter and discuss our teams. Lots of good conversation and discussion.

The Steelers have only allowed one running back to gain more than 100 yards in two years including five playoff games. Just something to think about.

Steelers 27-17.

Now I have two weeks to brew up a good case of HATE for the Seahawks. That seems o have worked well first against Indy and then the Broncos. I never knew before that my HATE was so powerful. The rest of you thinking good things about the Steelers helps a bit too, I suppose.

Yes, I will have to admit, the Steeler defense is an awesome thing. I have only seen them this season in the playoffs, but I was very impressed. Polamolu seems to be in on every play. A one man tackling machine.

However, the Seahawks have an extremely balanced attack. Stop the run, no problem. 4 top receivers, plus Seneca Wallace the back up QB, who fills in at wide receiver from time to time are available. As for Alexander, best strategy for opponents is to concuss him.

Should be a great game, and i think it will be close - Seahawks 24 Steelers 20
