ORIGINAL: OrionTheWolf The issues you raise have nothing to do with party affiliation. In most of the posts I have read, replace Democrat or Republican with the word politician and it is closer to the truth. Excuse me, but these "issues" as you call them DO have a great deal to do with party. These are people chosen by President Obama to represent HIS administration. If they were just your normal run of the mill tax cheats than you might have a point. It makes some of us wonder about the creditablilty of this most liberal man in the Senate who is now chosing "the best among us" to lead us into "change"....and exactly what this "change" is going to look like. There have been some nominations made by other Presidents, regardless of political party, that have also had questionable to proveable misconduct or crimes in their backgrounds. It is politics as usual, and that is the point. It has nothing to do with political party. quote:
I guess we have to get used to hearing words like "honest mistake", "error in judgement", "inadvertent", "distraction" "yea, they cheated on taxes but we need him/her in these difficult times"! I think the inventive people on the White House staff should put together a "glossory of terms" to describe the character weakness of their nominees in a positive vein. Those same types of excuses/reasons have been used by past Presidents as well. There should be outrage every time, and I am not giving this President a free pass on this, but no President should be given a free pass on this. quote:
By the way, that's the staff that told the media that when our new Commander In Chief met with General Petraeus, the General was told clearly who the boss is..and that he is no Bush!...Could you believe they actually belittle one of the greatest Generals in our service today! More to come on this one...you betcha! Political cheerleading, such as you are doing, does not solve anything. I am not sure what you mean be belittle, have you actually looked up the definition of that word?
