I always told my friends that if Halle Bery were laying spread eagle on my bed and there was a cup of coffee and a cigarette on the adjacent table...Looks like Ol' Halle is gonna have ot sit tight for a few minutes whilst I take care of a more pressing and important matter.

Unfortunately I have now quit smoking.  Coffee time aint quite the same.  Not completely sold on the fact that life is worth living sans smokes.  

I might be forced to now hesitantly accept a BJ from halle as I consume my coffee.  I have changed.

Back when I was really poor, I bought Chock Full 'O' Nuts. That stuff was really good for a cheap brand. Now, I 'm kind of checkin' out lots of different brands. Millstone French Roast is variable. Sometimes very good and sometimes not. Dunkin' Donuts coffee is great in one of their stores along with a donut or three. I keep bouncing around between Caribou, Starbucks, Java something (Junction?), and some of the WalMart types.

Actually I read somewhere that Chock Full of Nuts won a taste contest and beat alot of much higher priced gourmet brands.

I remember Dateline doing a similar test, and Folger's Crystals won the taste test with most of the participants.  It just goes to show you that a lot of what people perceive as good is in their heads.  I laughed my ass off when Penn and Teller served canned food and cheap hobo wine to pretentious jackoffs in a restaurant, and the fuckers were talking about how exquisite it was.  If you've never seen it, here it is:

LOL, we all have our own special personal drinking instruments here as well. "Shifted" doesn't do the coffee thing, but she better have her coozy for her soda. Guess again. I have Goofy, Tigger, two Disney World mugs, a MM Club mug and two large old time Mickey mugs that are my favorites.

The Gold standard in coffee for me is Starbucks Italian Roast but it has shot up in price so much that I only buy it when I can find it on sale. A company named New England Coffee sells a Colombian roast that is my standby. I actually liked the house colombian brew from Publix that I tried recently. I have heard some good things about Dunkin Donuts coffee - it has been decades since I have had a cup in one of their stores - but it's almost as pricey at Starbucks around here.

I drink tea both hot and iced regularly.  The sweet tea is usually too sugary for me but the local bar-b-que place serves it just right.

      There were a lot more like it on the store shelf, but in my kitchen, you would get your knuckles rapped with an ice-tea spoon if you reached for the one I bought.  [;)]

ok I gota lovely disney one showing eeyore, its perfect size for a decent cupppa
My coffeee is usually in a sheetz insulated mug, nice n big and keeps warm while I wake up slowly

No kidding!  I buy the E'Oclock whole bean. It's a great price and actually pretty good coffee. When I splurge I go to the Coffee Fool website and order the Guatemalan Antigua or the Flatpicker Fuel....... awesome. I always buy whole bean. To me there is nothing like freshly ground beans. I'm the only one in my house that drinks coffee so I don't have to worry about sharing my cup.

I grew up outside of New Orleans and my all time fav coffee is Community Coffee between roast.

Dunkin Donuts makes the *BEST* coffee!
When at home I use their coffee that I get from Costco with sometimes a bit of French vanilla or hazelnut coffee mate liquid in it, Yum!
Anyone who pays $4 for a cup of swill from Starbucks is "retahded!"

Mmmm Coffee...mmm the smell of coffee...mmmm the taste...

I love lattes for sure, well made with nice coffee beans.

Here in Canada we have a national chain called Tim Horton's which is lovingly called T-ho's by some.

It is freaking tasty and if I ever went somewhere far from Canada to visit I would take a can of the stuff with me as a gift.

I really get all the Free-Trade and Organic and all that but at this point T-ho's is good coffee in my world. Go to the drive-thru employed with all nations under the ugly beige and brown uniform. Get some Sour cream glazed timbits which are like donut holes, all crunchy crust and sugar glaze seeping in to the soft butterscotch pudding taste of the cake texture inside.

I usually make a cup of T-ho's here when I wake up in a big cup with cream and organic sugar and smell up the place with the aroma.

Good times.

Starbucks didn't do it to me. I used to drink Hiwaiian coffees, kona, maui, and grinding each cup got me used to drinking strong, flavorful coffee. When it comes to buying it now, most brands just can't produce the flavor I want unless I do grind it myself... and mostly I don't want to lol.


I have a Keurig coffee maker too and I absolutely love it. It is so fast and easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee every time with no mess or clean up required. My favorite coffee to make in it is Timothy's Italian Blend. It is just right for me. Flavorful, delicious, not too strong. Now, if only the baby-to-be would let me enjoy a cup of coffee again!

OMG, now coffee is off the pregnant lady "can have" list?!?!? They are really making pregnancy rough these days.

First recreational drugs
Then cigarettes
Then momma's evening cocktail hour
Then cold medicine
Now COFFEE!!!

That's just torture I tell ya.

(please note, to those with a less evolved sense of humour the above was said in a PURELY humorous nature and not to imply that pregnant women should do drugs, drink, smoke, orrrrr anything else that could endanger the precious cargo"

Chicory is a roadside weed now. Most all of the big stores here had a grinder where you could girnd your own coffee.  I grew up with Maxwell House. I made it mostly because I love the smell. I drink mostly tea now.

I drink coffee all day and all night long.  I love coffee.  But I do have a question.  Has any one who frequents Starbucks find their coffee a little bitter?  It also give me heart burn.  The only coffee that does that.  Does anyone else experience that?
