I have to also put my two cents in here. I will be 33 next Tuesday, I don't consider myself anywhere near a cougar, but I enjoy dating men my age or younger. It is funny, as I was in my teens and early 20's, I always dated older guys...as I got older, they got younger. As most on here know, MoGa is my roommate and I see the dynamic between her and Geoff, there has never been a moment when either of them were ashamed of their age difference and I for one say....Go Sista!! If a woman wants to date a younger man, who cares. It's her life and if people don't like it...they can walk away, they don't need to state that it is wierd or inappropriate. My mom is 52 and if she brought home a 20-something year old man, I would say Go Mom!! I want her to be happy and age is just a number. It's time we got over this shit of "it's acceptable for older men/younger women, but not for older women/younger men". When I am older, I hope I have a young, sexy man too.

Date a 16 year old if you really want to, it's legal. And if it wasn't legal, do it anyway and just don't tell the cops. Seriously, if a person knows what they're doing and they're past puberty, they're fair game. "Appropriate" is not a word that needs to come up where age is concerned. Do what feels right.

AAkasha Ma'am, It probably is natural to have doubts about liking a person who is quite some years younger than oneself. I too have such doubts when I find 18-20 years old girls attractive as I am a guy in my mid 20s some might say it's okay in my case but the doubts nag me all the same). from those ahead of you in the numbers department... 40 is not old ! but to the original question ~ Younger vanilla males make my brain hurt - the majority are typically loud, reckless, have THE worst manners, can't hold a conversation to save their lives and need all the big words explained. At best, they are eye candy. Any cougar traits in me remain silent. Younger submissive males, however, are easier to talk to because they (usually) have a quieter, more intelligent, more civilized essence. I am 40 and feel better then I can remember. I am attracted to younger men for their looks. Sorry it shallow not meaning to be but in my eyes its all most younger males have to offer. They arent experienced, mature, or very intelligant. There are a few in the mix but few and far between. Young males are attracted to me constantly and I can honestly say it is flattering and would I like to play with them? yes and no cause I also would feel somewhat conflicted. I try to stay with men around my age that way I can be fully fullfilled. As far as being a cougar, hell no lol.
