OK, I don't get it... a thread about how stupid grudges are has degenerated into a parade of grudges?

You know, I took a long break from the boards and it is pretty damn funny that some people play the same record over and over and over again.

I don't get it either........but then again, i have never understood how a grudge is held. I prefer not to give someone that much power over me......just let it roll down and go away.

I still don't get how people can be upset, hold a grudge....etc. on people they have never met face to face either. Ehhh, perhaps that's something i am not supposed to understand anyway.

Happy Tuesday y'all!!

Personally, like already said, I fail to see how someone could hold a grudge against a person that they have never met. But then, I fail to see the logic behind alot of things that happen online.

Sorry Gauge, this isn't actually a reply to you.

This is to EVERYONE. Some of you may be innocent of what I'm about to say, and I apologize, but it won't hurt your eyes too bad to read it.

I'm sick of playing diplomat. Here's what I'd really like to say...

Why don't we all just grow the fuck up? Do the growing pains hurt that badly? We sit here and bicker and squabble like we're back in highschool. "Oh well, he said this." "But she posted something I didn't like." We're slinging accusations and malice quicker than I care to keep up with. It's ridiculous. You don't have to like everyone on this board, but you do have to treat them with respect even though you feel they don't deserve it. It's part of life and it's part of belonging to an informative free website. You all are making entirely too much work for the mods. Agree to disagree like the intelligent people you are. You don't have to get in a shit-slinging contest about it. There's really no point. Hrrrummph. Now, put this crap behind you and start acting like adults.

That is why the Op is "Stupid Grudges". i agree with you; allowing someone to upset you and keep you that way DOES allow them power over you. As for getting po'ed at people in a virtual world, well, that seems even dumber, but it happens.

i had hoped more people would say "ok, i'm done; peace out" but that didn't happen. O well, i tried.

Whatever happened to leading by example? Whatever happened to "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me?" Whatever happened to not being part of the problem and becoming part of the solution? It is fine that you have that viewpoint, but nothing will change before others, that should be more grown up and mature, cease from the silliness. You know, tolerance is a wonderful thing, you might not like someone but that doesn't mean that gives you license to blast them back. You know, one of my most interesting discoveries of human psychology and human nature was when I discovered that I could respond to someone attacking me in an intelligent, calm, mature manor. Not only does it show that you are the better person in the argument it also drives the other person up the wall because you won't give them what they clearly want and that is a fight. I am not preaching world peace here and this isn't very complex logic so it should be easy to gain an understanding of the concepts. It is simple... be the better person. Show yourself as the person that will not be dragged down into the petty bickering.

Just a thought...

Are you carrying a grudge? Posting a lot of crap on the boards about the object of your dislike? i'd bet most people doing this cannot even say what began it. It denigrates the tenor of the boards and makes the poster look like an ass.

i say, let it go; post things that help people, amd grow the f**k up.

If you recognise yourself in this type, try being a whole person with a full complement of brains and understanding.
